Zoro and Robin are serious yes. But both also have odd things that make them entertaining and different from a bland stoic character.
Zoro for one his sense of directions, his absent mindedness at times as well as joking a lot with Luffy about serious things. plus the drinking.
Robin has the fan service plus her weird dark nature that comes out from time to times which separates her from being just a boring serious character.

Plus she kinda just follows Luffy into whatever danger and laughs at morbid observations freaking the others out hehe.
I really wouldn't mind Jimbe joining. I just would rather have a female front line fighter in the crew.

at this point i dont think there can be another introduction of a brand new character that becomes a sh pirate, especially if the character has to take a "front line" position.
takes too much attention away from existing characters. carrot probably is the last one to be given the chance and if she doesnt end up in the crew by the end of this arc i think the doors closed for everyone but jimbe

They might both join. The crew needs two more members to make 11 which is the crew size Luffy was aiming for at the start of One Piece.

Exactly ! and we discovered these quirks after they joined the crew... plus Oda know how to make fun of seriousness  remember that scene when Zoro very seriously plan to cut is own 2 legs ? Or even this : http://www.mangareader.net/one-piece/591/7 ?

Tho idc how Oda would be able to make SH going throught taht if they reject the alliance. Its like Jinbei says : They are 10 there is no way they'd be able to crush capone+BM on their own. Even with Germa. Plus I kinda feel like there Will be a misunderstanding during the tea party. Germa are thinking BM is their ally, how do you guy think they will react to SH and Capone attacking them ?
Of course it will depend on when Oda makes the attack on BM happens, after or before the attack on Germa. If its after, then all right. If it is before...
Given the relationship between Sanji and his family, it's highly possible the fight ends in a terrible mess where germa attacks SH+Capone on the behalf of their alliance with BM, while BM betrays them and attacks. Could be a 3-way fight ^^

Oda taking queues from GRRM. I like it.
This can literally go any way now with either the Straw Hats actually teaming up with Capone or betraying him or having him betray them or teaming up with big Mom in the end... who knows what will happen?

I honestly don't know how this is going to turn out. I don't see Luffy going with Capones plan, odds are Capone would want to strike in the chaos of the Germa slaughter.
At the same time after hearing his plan Capone can't just let Luffy go his own way which means they'd have to fight. Luffy can't take out another super nova and then still have the energy to take out a Yonko right after. So they have to some how get away from the meeting with Capone as allies or bare minimum no fight. Without Capones help I don't see him taking out Big Mom either meaning they have to save Sanji family another way.
I seriously have no clue how Oda is going to pull this off. Very interested in next chapter and thank god no break.

Well Vito (I think) says the Germa are his idols and that's why they stopped Bobbin. I think they're not opposed to helping them out.
