furthermore, there never was an anime of bleach in german TV, while naruto and one piece started about 8 years ago - i had some kind of connection with it and since then i read naruto and one piece (in that order, naruto had many weak and strange moments, sometimes its like dragonballZ/GT - everday a new level of strengh...) | ||

i think with hody's rant, it establishes that the new crew member candidate is jimbei. whether he joins or not will be up to oda. can't wait for the next chapter. will be amazing to see everybody's power unleashed to the fullest. | ||

i was about to say one piece is the longest shonen manga i read that is still ongoing, but sidechecking hajime no ippo has that covered xD, and at least toriko and beelzebub lessen my pain over naruto and bleach... | ||

I read the crappiest first and let it get better ending the culimination of awesomeness. HxH will probably go after naruto if Togashi is any decent still. Sweet chapter though.... hopefully some good action next time  | ||

Sweet chapter though.... hopefully some good action next time agreed it's kind of like eating a 3 course meal except unlike most meals the quality of one of the courses (bleach) is so bad that it tastes like a plasticized version of baby barf in which case it's nice to get the crap out of the way | ||

If you want, you can call it a plot device so that people with Logia types can be fought be the "strong" as opposed to those super strong dudes having to essentially run away from anyone lucky enough to have a logia fruit (some of the early movies have some otherwise weak villains like that) until they figure out the "counter" to the element. That's the part that Oda has to be the most careful about - not letting Haki become an I win button. He seems to be doing a decent job. Take Crocodile (pre-Haki by far), for example. Luffy found a way to hit him (which is what Haki would allow) fairly early on, but just being able to hit Crocodile didn't let him win right away. I'd say it shows that the fights can still be interesting after Haki. Luffy using it to crush 50k dudes isn't much different than him, Zoro, and Sanji manually tearing through dozens at at time like they used to. Just looks more "epic." lawl I'd mention Enel as another early Logia type they fought, but 80% of the challenge in that fight was Enel using Haki to know what attacks were coming and dodging them accordingly. In a straight up fight he'd get crushed. | ||
