Burgess had it coming the moment he didn't use haki in his first attack against Sabo -.- Using haki doesn't guarantee a hit vs logia even when appears like the move made contact. Whitebeard stabbed Akoji with using his spear, but Akoji split himself around the spear. Burgess was outclassed by Sabo even before Sabo ate the DF if the arena fight was any indication. Not using haki against someone like Sabo guarantees that you don't get a hit no matter what though. Might as well put effort into your attack. CP-0 might still take Doffy away from the marines next chapter.
I should add there was no visual indication for Whitebeard using haki either and the whole coloring black to indicate armament haki is very inconsistent, more so in earlier chapters. Point is Burgess probably does know haki and did use it during the fight. Did he use it with his opening attack I don't know, but it's possible it was a non black haki move. Even during this arc there have been non black haki moves in the arena.

With fists and kicks it's gotten pretty consistent after the time skip. Which is probably mostly on Oda deciding to give it better visualisation.

Holy crap the manga panda translation is bad. "Fire Gun"? How can anyone make that mistake by this point?

So much of this doesn't make sense.
Why was fuju introduced if he is truly fucking useless. his abilities have appeared, to be on face surface, interesting but otherwise garbage and in the end he has done nothing. If Luffy gets up within the next few chapters and DD doesn't, then there are some serious glaring issues that need to be addressed.
I don't think OP will ever be as goods as it was honestly. I don't hate on it or what has happened but when you take an arc as long as this has and it ends in such a terrible way...
Fan-service fight with good build up is the best I think we can hope for tbh.

what do by useless? O_o While his apology is a gesture it is still a huge one also this is not the last wrap up chapter of this arc.
The negativity in this thread is to me astonishing

I don't get how so many people can not like this chapter.
As for Fuji, he did not want to fight seriously at all this entire arc. At the start he doesn't really care about Law and just plays along with Doflamingo because of shichibukai title, then he has a pretend battle with Sabo so the marines don't think he is colluding with the revolutionary army. This is the first time I've ever seen a big-shot marine apologize for anything, let alone in the name of the world government. I don't think the tenryuubito would be happy about admitting their mistakes so I'm not sure he even has the authority to apologize like this. Fuji seems to be one of the only marines who is actually trying to fix things. He said at the start of the arc that his goal was to abolish the shichibukai program because it allows people like doffy and crocodile to do whatever they want, so I bet he's pretty pleased with how this turned out.

I think it might just be a case of the few people who dislike the chapter coming out really strong and aggressive as soon as the chapter comes out. :D
Really enjoyed it, but not too much else to say. Wondering at the repercussions that Fujitora's actions are gonna bring.

This arc was pretty much like Alabasta. Fuji proved superior to Smoker, the marines can't twist the truth now.

so a while ago i let the one piece chapters pile up .. and now i binge watched from chapter 757 upto the latest(792)
i gotta say it's SO HYPED FOR WHAT THE NEXT CHAPTER IS GONNA BE

I don't get why people read bad translations ruining the chapter for themselves with misunderstandings and illogical stuff.

Oh boy this means that Law + Luffy will take all of the credit. The information is out there. Marines are disgraced and pirates brought down Doflamingo. The world government is going to be PISSED. I'm thinking 600 million for Luffy and Law. Maybe even new bounties for other straw hats. No bounty for Sanji LOL.

SBS TIME ~~
Q: I know this is sudden, but I have a question for Odacchi.
Why is it that there is an abnormally extensive number of characters in One Piece who have unknown or already deceased mothers? P.N. Navy Blue
Oda: I see. Well. The answer is simple.
That's because "Mother" is the antonym for "Adventure".
Q: Question, so "Gimlet", who appears in chapter 755 is based off of "Gimlet" the cocktail, right!? Oda-sensei, could it be that you're also a Raymond Chandler fan? Or maybe you just really like alcohol (haha). P.N. Law's Second Assistant Oda: Yes. That is where "Gimlet" came from. How to go about this, it'd be way too complicated if I tried to explain it all. Basically, it was just a play on words for my amusement using this proverb, and I'm sure people who understand what I'm talking about will get this, but there's this famous line from the novel A Long Goodbye that goes "I suppose it's a bit too early for a Gimlet". Uhh, in other words, I gave him that name because I felt like I couldn't not reference the word when it came to drawing about hardboiledness. If it interests you, please go look it up. Lucianne (Russian) is also the name of an alcoholic drink. Additionally, though I'm a Kyushu lad who draws pirates for a living and loves the concept of hardboiledness, I'm still no good at handling drinks.
Q: I have a question for Odacchi. In "The White City", chapter 762 of volume 76, during the scene where Law stabs Cora-san, I found Crocodile printed on the paper Cora-san was reading.
So what was that article about?
Oda: Yes. I'm quite impressed you found this one~. As you've pointed out, if you look really closely, you can find Crocodile there.
This was from the time when Law was 10 and Doflamingo was 25; 16 years ago from now. Crocodile was 30 at the time.
Like Luffy, back when he was young, Crocodile's name spread across the seas with incredible momentum, but soon after he was admitted into the Shichibukai in around his mid-20s, he tried to fight Whitebeard and and was completely and utterly crushed by him.
Though he seemingly tamed down at this point, his eyes became set on the kingdom of Alabasta, and it happened to be precisely during this time period that he was being featured in the papers as a hero who hunted down pirates. In other words, that was an article reporting the acts of heroism by Crocodile at the time!
Q: Oda-sensei--!! Buggy would be able to get past the "Bird Cage", wouldn't he!!! P.N. Mr. DoMyChores
Oda: You're right, he would--.
Even if you put him in the bird cage with his crewmates, he'd still escape by himself!
Q: The one who was with Barrels the pirate called "Dorry" was X Drake, captain of the Drake pirates, right?! It struck me when I saw the name " Diez", found the scar on his chin, and discovered that he comes from the sea of the North. So does that mean that Barrels is Drake-san's father? Oda: Yes, that's correct!! Well done with your findings. X Drake, along with Luffy and the others, is a member of the youthful "Worst Generation" of pirates that stirred up a great deal of commotion around the world. His father, Barrels, used to be a Marine Officer and Drake admired this, dreaming of becoming a great Marine just like him one day. However; who knows what happened, but his father suddenly turned into a pirate and became a terrible man who would physically abuse even his own son. Drake, who still believed in his past father and followed him around was aged 19 at this time (13 and a half years ago). Though that's a bit too old to be calling him a boy, he probably seemed to look a lot younger while he was weakened with the fear of his father. Later, he fatefully crossed paths with Law, and the Marines soon took custody of him, leading Drake to become a Marine. The thing is, as if resigning himself to fate, after Drake made his way all the way up to becoming a Rear Admiral in the Marines, he ended up leaving the navy and becoming a pirate himself!! Just what happened? What's he thinking? Hey, you!! ---come onnnnnn. I'm interested in seeing the future of Drake, who has also made an appearance in a cover series!!
