the manga is at least.
One piece is like Usain Bolt... and Bleach and Naruto are those guys who finished last in 100m or 200m. So far ahead it ain't even funny.

Seriously, what the hell is going on?

i completely agree
well, TBH naruto has been getting more interesting within the last 10 chapters, but ONE PIECE >>>>>>>>>>>>> ALL

Wat ? One Piece > Naruo , Bleach ? NO WAY.

I mostly follow Bleach to see if they can top their own ridiculous badness with each successive story arc; I haven't been disappointed yet. Although an infinitesimal part of me believes that it'll get better, the rest of me vehemently disagrees.

Don't put manga spoilers in an anime discussion thread wtf.... at least label the spoilers as manga content... although I admit it wouldn't even be worth avoiding spoiling people of filler info XD

this isn't actualyl about the anime, i fucked up the op : ]

So let me check, it's on episode 241. Seriously kubo should learn to the value of brevity instead of drawing it out and stalling it.
Let me check, what happened in episode 140. Oh one armed Grimmjaw fight. So 100 episodes to go to Hueco Mundo and then fight in the real world and finish off espada 5-9, only one whose characters was developed. Oh and their cronies. One episode per week so that's what, two years of plot development? And how much longer will it go on for? My guess?+ Show Spoiler +At least 100 more episodes, probably 150+ so like 3 more years to catch up to the manga in beating espada 1-3, then if we're lucky vasto lordes coming in, royal realm, and final battle. But kubo gets paid by the issue, so aizen probably gets what he wants, owns some people and retreats, leading to another arc. And so he'll develop 10 new vasto lordes and probably some more good guys, so we're looking at like 4-5 more years.
Just for kicks I checked rewatched parts of the kenshin anime. I tried to find the aoshi fight at the end of the tokyo arc. Episode 30? Nope, kyoto. Episode 20? Nope. The tokyo arc ended in episode 11. The kyoto arc ended in episode 50. So if this scaled to bleach, let's see soul society in about 10 episodes, hueco mundo ends by episode 50. To be fair, I rewatched bits of the soul society arc and it was amazing how kubo actually introduced characters in ways that was relevant to the story, developed their characters well while moving forward, and propelled it towards resolution. But even so, this anime should have been wrapped up from episode 100 to at most 150.
Kubo has to learn the value of efficient plot development. It pains me to see virtually nothing change week to week, it takes like 10 weeks of manga to kill off one espada. If I saw the anime/manga finally resolve in 5 episodes, I would be ecstatic. I hope Kubo gets impregnated by something has to bear its spawn until Bleach finally ends so he's motivated to end the torture that is Bleach. Or maybe what happens with american tv shows: it goes on too long, ratings get too low and it gets cancelled.
edit: ok, checked manga. Tokyo arc/aoshi ended in chapter 30. Kyoto arc ended in 148. Bleach, soul society ends in 180. Manga's currently at 348.

It would take many less episodes if the information was packed as densely in the anime as in the manga.
Still, he does choose a slow pace himself like many other manga do nowadays.

Kubo has a fetish for drawing out fantastic full page visuals, that's why things are moving so slowly. check the average panel/page ratio he has compared to faster moving mangas and its obvious he's focusing on art.
He's likely trying to emulate some of the over the top stylistic flair of berserk, which you can see pretty concretely in a number of character designs.

In my perfectly honest and frankly unbiased opinion, One Piece is light-years ahead of its Ninja and Swordsman counterparts.
I used to be quite a devoted follower of all three. In fact, I followed Naruto and Bleach prior to One Piece simply because the two were more popular in the English speaking world and One Piece's seemingly immature depiction of human beings initially threw me off. However, as time moved onward, I slowly withdrew from the ninjas and the death gods as I matured while the two series degraded from genuine stories to half-hearted gibberish. On the contrary, despite having a far slower start than either of its counterparts, One Piece’s story endlessly revolves and evolves. Its artwork improves itself continuously and the humor never fails to make me chuckle.
One Piece is a masterpiece. It is the epic peak of entertainment. That is my personal opinion.
I still check the two less commendable series from time to time in hope of revival. The Vizard past arc had me going. But now it’s dragged out battles with random power ups once more.
To those who still claim to be a manga fan (which I am not, sadly. The only manga series that I follow on a weekly basis are One Piece and Negima) and yet still haven’t checked out One Piece for some unknown reason, you owe it to yourself to check the greatest manga series ever written. Yes, it is better than Dragonball, Naruto, Bleach or whatever else you used to like.

I'd start one piece, but there's sooooooooooo much to watch and I just don't want to get THAT involved hahahaha

Both onepiece and naruto threads seem to get bumped all the time, but bleach doesnt.

Newest chapter certantly was interesting. I wonder what Ichigo learns next. Aizen certantly looks pretty invincible, but now we havent seen Kenpatchi or Byakuya apear yet. Kenpatchi is the only reason this manga is worth it haha

Plot twist was sooo predictable. =/ The real question in Bleach is how many keikaku doori moments Aizen will have before the end of the manga.
Anyway, it's not like Aizen can die when there's a whole new arc waiting in the king's dimension or whatever.

Prepare for my ultimate technique: telling you about how I'm gonna win!!!

I'm ecstatic, there's a high chance bleach will finally end, and the corresponding sisyphusian torture of waiting for another week for two minutes of action, for like half a decade.
Two weeks ago: Wonderweiss comes in transformed, sucking in yamamoto's sword. Yamamoto punches him. Punches him again. The end. One week ago: wonderweiss death pictures. Yamamoto jumps on him because his sword will explode. Final attack on Aizen. The end. This week: Aizen is singed. Ichigo does an attack. Aizen taunts. The end.
Compared to Kenshin 139, the Shishio battle. Saito surprise attack. Shishio reveals headguard! Shishio counter attacks (in bleach this would be one weeks worth of material). Shishio taunts. Saito unleashes final technique. (second week of material). Shishio evades, grabs Saito, uses gunpowder technique (3rd week of material). Sanosuke swears, unleashes his ultimate technique (4th week of material). Shishio is unaffected, taunts, punches him back (5th week of material). Sanosuke's defeated, saito's defeated, shishio gloats, houji gloats. Aoshi appears. (6th week of material).
Optimistically, the ichigo aizen fight will take at least a month. If they have several hidden plot twists, the fight will take probably about two months.

I was hopeful when Hitsugaya got owned by Aizen. Hopeful that Bleach may get better. Boy, was I ever wrong! This chapter annoyed me. All it did was restate how broken Aizen is. He counters everything! And apparently, he planned Ichigo's growth from the very beginning. So he's omnipotent and omniscient. There is never a moment in this series where I think the good guys have any chance against Aizen. And since I don't have Aizen's foresight, I don't see it in the foreseeable future.

this quote sums up my thoughts on this chapter ""Just as Planned" There's nothing more to say about this chapter. Aizen's been writing this manga lol."
|
I just got caught up the recent chapters. I think I went through like 150+ chapters in a few hours of boredom. Seriously, it's just no fun anymore. It's just battle after battle with random characters. I was literally left-clicking the drawings to skip the monotonous battles with characters I don't know/forgotten/don't care fighting each other. And the whole "he's dead... wait no.. he rises again... oh he's dead again... but then he pulls some more strength out of his ass and beats the bad guy" thing gets a little boring after you do it 50 times.
What happened? Bleach started off so well. There was intrigue, cool characters, fast paced story, plot twists. I was pretty much floored the Soul Society arc ended... Such a shame.

what does that stone do in aizen's chest?
