I have a feeling Shinji will die fighting Aizen. Bleach has been criticized for never killing off any protangonists and this seems like a good opportunity to do so.

+ Show Spoiler + Kubo trolled us again. Barrigan was supposed to die last week.... only to come back and then die again this week. We could've done without that. The only "upside" is she died to the fat guy instead of soifon's ban kai which would've been dumb. But it's still pretty dumb. Come on you gave the #2 (IIRC) arrancar a seriously BROKEN power like Aizen's and killed him off in one of the lamest ways possible.... with side characters. I could've done with some more fighting from the other... real fights.... if you can call them that. Sigh. | ||

As for the manga, + Show Spoiler + I didn't mind this fight so much. It figures that Hachigen had to outsmart Barragan into basically eroding himself. It didn't have to be all sword clashing like the other fights. It was okay. I still contend that this series has way too many characters to deal with on all sides. | ||
