Zaraki never used his Zanpukuto. His body is his weapon.
Do agree Zaraki is a total beast and my favorite character.

Ugh, the air of superiority around Mayuri is unbearable. Remember when heroes used to have difficult fights that were close and thus they had character growth.
Mayuri, like Byakuya, is a static character. Unchanging, uninteresting. There for the sake of having a character of their personality exist, not for anything actually interesting to occur. None of these fights have yet to feel like they mean a thing. If I deleted the zombie and love chapters from your mind would you feel like anything important was lost?
That's the issue with Bleach. It's being serialised not because there's a story to tell, but because it feels like it just wants to continue to exist.

I feel like this happens every arc. Hueco mundo -> aizen lures Ichigo there, then attacks kurakara town, earlier in quicy arc, Bach lures ichigo to Hueco mundo again, invades soul society. This time, invades soul society to lure Ichigo there, then -> kings palace.
