While a good idea, the problem is that Baelish is probably on his way back to King's Landing by now.

Meh. Ygritte didn't look like I expected her to after reading the book, but considering how the casting has been absolutely perfect in 90% of all the characters in the entire show, I'm not gonna nit-pick at that.
And yeh, the Hound is indeed a BAMF.

It is called Game of Thrones. Maybe he wanted the throne or wanted higher status? There were hints as to how he felt and that he wasn't fully accepted by the Starks. Actually, there were hints AND he blatantly stated how he felt. If you are trying to say that Theon chose the wrong path, then he might have. Everything you wrote I agree. I was responding to the guy who thought that Theon being a "complete dick" was out of character. He was influenced to be this role than be a "complete dick" out of nowhere. You can tell he is hesitant at times.
Why would he chose his dad and people over the Starks? Well, he didn't really feel accepted by Starks and as much as he tries he probably never will be. The Iron Island people and his dad don't accept him either but he feels like he can be accepted eventually.

I've noticed this too, maybe not fat, but definitely thicker. I doubt it's intentional but going from peachy princess to badass barbarian wife would most likely have something like that happen to you. Either you get fatter or you build muscles.
Awesome if intentional, nice coincidence if not!

She was pregnant ......This may come as a surprise to you, but when you get pregnant you get fatter, and after having the baby (or losing it) you don't instantly lose all the weight the comes with it.
Apologies, the last comment was uncalled for.

Oh right, I forgot about that part. I am sorry for offending you with my lowly intelligence.

After spending his whole childhood with the Starks he´s still not accepted by them. Also there´s a lot of peer pressure involved.

She's already proven to be pretty clever, so choosing Tywin would be a selfless use of her last death. She may go on to serve a crueler lord, or even be implicated in his death, but it is obvious that Tywin is the brains of the Lannister operation, and his death would put his troops in disarray and likely give her brother Robb an enormous advantage in the field.
Littlefinger would be the selfish choice, but I think she could tell from that interaction that he knew who she was but neglected to say anything, so I don't think she needs to be in a rush to eliminate him.
And Theon wasn't a Lord at Winterfell, he was a ward. While they treated him pretty well for a glorified hostage, what exactly would he have risen to if he stayed at Winterfell? Master-at-arms? "Advisor" to Robb? No, if he wants to be a Prince and ultimately a King, it would come through the Iron Islands. They did a good job developing his character in S1 to show that he is arrogant, egotistical, and power-hungry. This is just him giving in to those urges.

Maybe she is saving her kills though. She is already getting lots of information in her position, so it's still valuable. There's no guarantee that she won't later chose Tywin (if she feels Jaqen can do it) but for now she is bidding her time. Last episode's death was a necessity.

How does tyrion slap the king and get away with it

He's got the city watch on his side now that he put Bronn in charge. He's also made it clear to the Kingsguard (Ser Meryn specifically) not to fuck with him.

*Tyrion. And he is acting Hand of the King while his father is in the field. He's definitely walking a pretty fine line but I figure he assumes that since he is family Joffrey won't go all homicidal on him like he does with everyone else.
Was the highlight of the episode though, along with Joffrey getting hit in the face with cow shit.

You mean Tyrion. Tywin is his father.
As far as getting away with slapping the king, hes been slapping that bratty kid since the 2nd episode of Season one haha.
Addtionally hes a Lannister and Jofffrey's uncle.

I love that Dinklage uses his entire body to slap. Makes it feel much harder. "Gotta carry through!"

I think Cercei, as much as she seems to hate Tyrion, wouldn't let Joffrey just plain execute him. That would draw the attention of old man Lannister and he would NOT be happy having to go to King's Landing to clean up some stupid mess while he should be out there fighting Robb's armies. And whatever Joffrey thinks he is in the capital, playing a prick king, his kingdom is half debted to his grandfather and the Lannister armies surely follow Tywin who is not only their lord but pays them.
|
Cercei isn't a smart woman.
But yeah the Lannisters won't be killing each other, I feel.

Yeah, Tywin owns the real clout. The other thing is that Tywin specifically assigned Tyrion because he didn't think Cersei and Joffrey were doing a good job in the first place. That's why Tyrion has the real power.

I think that everyone knows Joffrey is an idiot anyway so they don't mind him getting slapped :D.

Well she isn't suicidal either. Pissing off Tywin at this point doesn't seem like a healthy choice. What forces do Cercei or Joffrey command in King's Landing that could be described as loyal? The King's Guard and that's it. Tywin has Lannister's armies, Tyrion holds the city watch and there's other hostile forces coming in from nearly all directions.
Joffrey might be dumb enough, but her mother isn't.
|
The reason Tyrion can do what he likes is because he commands the City Watch, (that was the reason he got rid of Janos Slynt and put Bronn in his place, he needed essentially his own army to defend him and give him the power he needed to get shit done). Joffrey has his kingsguard, but that's just 7 guys (and really only 6 since Jaime is captive).
