To all of you commenting on Jon's badassery... What? Where do you even see him? Is he that guy who's shown for half a second in the black armor and the full helm? Oh god I cant wait to see CGI Ghost. On a related note, Dany looks pretty good in that trailer there. Being all crazy bitch 'i'mma take it' and shit. I''m sort of excited to see the clothing in Quarth. Hope they stay true to the books. That sounds neat. And Arya looks very boyish. Which I guess was the intent. Jon is at 13 seconds.

I don't understand. What was bad about it? What could've been done better? I thought it was an excellent trailer, as someone who knows what every scene they showed was about.

Coming from someone who has never read the books, the trailer was okay. It wasn't amazing and was mostly just a collage of scenes which I have no idea is about. Some of them I can kinda guess based on what I've read in the GOT threads on TL, but on the whole, the trailer was good, but not super hype.

If I remember it correctly, isn't the answer to that riddle+ Show Spoiler +"Whoever pays the sellsword the highest" or something like that? I did like the riddle and the talk between Tyrion and Varys, I think it was the scenes they showed that didn't do it for me (and since I'm not certain on the casting there are a few cases where I'm not certain of who is who, been a while since I saw season 1 and there are new characters in S2). Also if they did show + Show Spoiler + in this trailer (not 100% certain), I'm not sure I like the casting of her.
I'll have to rewatch the trailer a few more times with sound I think (no sound here at work, eheheh).

I have to wonder what an actual good trailer is, for those who apparently do not like this one. I thought theme of Varys' riddle was great and they did a nice job showing many of the locations and major characters that are in the book.

And the epic whistle before that :D.

That's exactly what a trailer is supposed to be.
I hate trailers that tell you the entire movie. (or in this case series)

She's at the 5 second mark. She is right by Stannis and redheaded.

That's not the answer to the riddle. It doesn't have a definite answer.

Yeah its more a question then a riddle even if its not framed that way. Its asking whats more important god, money or loyalty. The answer will be different for everyone.
EDIT: wrong thread omg

the point of the riddle was the 3 were powerless and it's the man with the sword who gives the power

Varrys answers the riddle right away. Power resides where people think it resides. What is more powerful? Authority, Faith or Money. It depends on the person's perception. A touch of social-contructivism
And yes, she appears in the trailer, she s the redhead

Don't worry, A Storm of Swords blows them all out of the water.

I think you guys discussing the riddle missed it: "NO BOOK DISCUSSION, SPOILERS OR OTHERWISE"
