I bought the book today, now that series 1 has finished. Best possible outcome is that Spartacus blood and sand series 2 comes out by the time I've finished it (gonna take my time with it I think).
I think season 2 of Spartacus has already been released? Atleast I've seen it, not on TV tho.

Is the first book based on Season 1? or theres far more in the book that hasn't appeared?
i want to watch second season being unspoiled. So, should i read the first book?

If you read the book, you'll mainly get more detail, more background, and a few things that were left out. Should be safe

The overall plot is completed via the first season, but there's a lot of extra scenes/changed scenes in the book.

Question: if u read the books u are supposed to know everything that should happen in the TV serie, dont u?
i want to stay away from book for that. after they finnish with book 1, i will read it
