Probably does, since it would mean seasons without the name being relevant. It is still relevant. And it is a much better name. The Ice and Fire symbolisms are still referenced in the show, though. For instance look at the similarity of the icy wildling bodies laid out in the snow in the very first section of the first episode, and then Drogo's firey funeral pyre in the very last section of the last episode. They both form a circular structure/thing.

Let the Game of Thrones Season 2 casting begin. Natalie Dormer, who portrayed ill-fated Anne Boleyn in Showtime's The Tudors, has joined the cast of the HBO series, TVGuide.com has confirmed. She'll play Margaery Tyrell, who comes from a very well-to-do family, which is why she's pledged to marry Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony), the late King Robert's brother. Source

Summer is fire, Winter is ice etc etc it's symbolic there's a hundred ways to view it from the show and even more in the more detailed books. You could even see certain major houses or characters as being "ice" or "fire"
