spoiler please...already saw they were wyvyrns instead of dragons but didnt know they breathed fire.... Well to be fair theres numerous mentions to that in the first book, so one could assume one who watched the first season would be aware of that.
That, and I'm almost certain it's been mentioned in the show that dragons breath fire a hundred times.

Also they're dragons......its safe to assume they breathe fire -.- not even a book spoiler lolz!
Thats like watching Merlin and someone saying 'King Arthur blah blah' and saying 'OMG SPOILERZ I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO DIE!'

Heh. Viserys even mentioned in the show that the breath of a dragon forged the Iron Throne. Although I guess you could argue that it was some extreme halitosis...

8 King of Westeros (ruling a whole continent... not joffreys case)
7 Great Khal, Ruler of major Citystate/Freecity, Hand of the King (disputable) Pre-unification, the kings of 7 kingdoms should be status 7.
6 Warden of <insert here Direction> (Starks, Lannisters, Aeryn and Tyrell), Major Khal, Ruler of a citystate, I'd go ahead and put the heads of the Great Houses there, after all, they are heirs of kings.
5 High Septon, Lord of a major house(Tully, Greyjoy, Martell, Frey and Redwyne), Khal
4 Lords of major Bannerhouse ( Boltons), minor Khal, Member of the small Concil, "average" nobles, who are not especially powerful, but have enough land, etc, to be powerful.
3 Lords of an avarage Bannerhouse ( Umber, Karstark, Clegane), Great maester, (Gregor Clegane, falls here, Petyr Baelish would if he only had his lands), landed knights and the least wealthy and powerful noblemen. Commander Mormont would fall here if he was not in the Night's Watch.
2 Guild Masters, Landless knights, both hedge knights and those directly in service to a noble. Note, though, that you have to be able to afford the cost of living to claim most of the benefits of Status, so many hedge knights will effectively be somewhat lower, Baelish is an example of this.
1 Hedge Knights, Maester, Septons, wealthy small folk.
0 Smallfolk, Men of the Knight Watch
-1 Unfree/poor Smallfolk, Clans of the Moon -2 Whores, -3 Slaves -4 Outlaws, Wildlings
Lords are more powerful then landed knights both in prestige and political influence. For the most part in incomes too but it would depends on the lands each held.
Comparing the Dothraki horselords to the Feudal westori is strange because they have NO political connections what so ever. The Dothraki are very much based on Horde like nations (Golden Horde, Timurids) of the late middle ages. One big thing they have in common is the "pay us tribute or die" political method to other nations.
The High Septon would argue he has equal power to any great lord of the kingdom.

He would probably lose that argument unless all the guards in question were religious fanatics
And you can ignore the dothraki, I just copied this, its derived from the gurps status system, in which it makes sense.

You heard right

I want to do a humorous "TRAVIS GET OUT" joke but I don't think it would go down too well with the mods so I'll just say that the show is fantastic and I can't wait for my copies of a song of ice and fire to arrive in the post next week.

How come she has dragon blood or something? her father was the mad king right? so did it have something to do with her mother? Thing is the Targeryn, Danys blood line. Their house Symbol is the Dragon. The Targeryn took over the Seven kingdom 300 years ago with Something the Conqueror and made the Seven kingdoms into one realm. That Realm is now controlled by the king at King landing. Before all of the 7 big houses where kings. So before the Starks where Kings, so where the Lannisters, Baretheons, etc. Now where did the Targeryn come from, that is from Valkery (or close) which is where dragons are from and the people that made Valerian steel like the sword Ice (Ned sword) and the dagger they tried to use to stab Bran and the Sword Jon receives for the Commander, etc. The blood of Dragons is just because of there ancestral land is where dragon and other spooky magic was. So any "true" Targeryn is heat immune and said to have the blood of Dragons. There are some family spelling mistakes and locations name erros but that's the gist of it.
thx for clearing that up

I'm surprised how true to the book the show has remained. I just got to the part where we first see Syrio, and I swear the dialogue was the same word for word.
Which is awesome, cause I had a huge grin on my face during the whole scene both times. ^__^

Well, that is still up for discussion: GRRM has said in an interview that he doesn't intend Dany's heat resistance to be something permanent, but that her walking into the funeral pyre was a unique moment in which magical things were happening. Dany's immunity to fire was one of them. She does have a high tolerance to heat as is emphasized both in the series and in the books by her taking her baths scalding hot, but fire/heat resistance is not supposed to be a genetical trait of Tagaryens according to an interview with GRRM. The white hair and purple eyes (omitted in the series, because purple eyes just look really weird) are described as typical Tagaryen traits... and it is somewhat hinted that their ability to control dragons is also due to some innate affinity with dragons rather than something anybody could learn.

Purple eyes were omitted because the purple contacts caused problems with seeing properly.

i think we needed at least 1 more scene with robb , to see what the plan is , i mean..they vowed him as king, but he still needs to get her sisters, will he just march to kingslanding and knock ,(at the same time as stannis and renly probably) ? now that lannister army is folding back..
and the nigthswatch scene is kinda weird too ,it doesnt seem that they have enough men to march to war and leave the wall un-manned.. really what do they expect ? they are probably outnumberd, and outclassed by wildlings (wich they migth only talk with to see wtf is going on , they could trade information for opnening the wall for them to leave, and maybe joining forces for the incoming war) but it seems like is just a big scouting crew..

I dont think that they plan to fight the wildlings. Like you said they are not many men. Their maingoal is to find Benjen Stark because he is still missing.

Tywin still have a huge army, huge enough to take down Robb, and his army is not folding back, he is going to stay in Harenhal, which is a big castle at the frontier between "the north" and "the south". The main problem the Lannisters are facing is that Robb is not alone - which mean Robb in itself is not that huge of a threat if you put aside his strategical qualities. I think you should not consider Robb too much, but more the whole picture : Renly, Stannis, Robb, Tyrion/Joffrey at King Landings, Tywin going to Harenhal with Gregor rampaging. That's basically the "plan" as it is now.
Things are great, I'm absolutly blind about what is going to happen next episode. I'm pretty sure we will not see Daenerys until S2 now that we have seen the dragons, or nothing serious.
