Hopefully this pushes her over the edge and finally makes her realize the people shes consorting with are terrible. Hearing Joffrey say "I'll put a child in you" was soooooo awkward. Like he didn't even know what he was saying :o Pretty sure Joffrey knew what he meant, reminds me of this; http://www.explosm.net/comics/2448/Must admit though the character is pretty deluded, the fact he thought he could simply enslave the North and beat them down if they tried to rebel and expected no consequences shows his naivety. Obviously have to keep in mind though he is still a child, I'm not sure how old he is supposed to be at this point in the books but he surely still has a lot to learn. Whether or not he'll live that long we're yet to see, as someone said earlier in the show Cersei isn't a fool; she knew killing Ned was NOT in the interests of anyone and that it would only make matters far worse for the Lannister side. Jaime is now imprisoned (albeit the Starks I would like to think show more compassion than Joffrey) but with Ned dead what stops them from simply killing Jaime? A kind of, you kill your prisoner we'll kill ours situation. He´s 13 in the book IIRC.

They cant kill Jaime yet because he's still a chip. He's a card that they can still play. One that might come very handy when they're trying to get both Arya (who they don't know is safe) and Sansa back.

that last scene gave me goosebumps waited the whole season for this to happen and they did it really really great.
|
Wowowow. Ending had me choking up in excitement.

God 10 episode season is just soo short I hope season 2 starts sooner than later..
|
Dragons and titties, can't think of a better way to end a season!
|
For all those wondering, production for season 2 starts july 25th 2011, so we will be waiting probably at least a year for s2 seeing as how s1 took 7 months just to film.

minor spoilerish for s2: + Show Spoiler +they said there would be some episodes with heavy cgi's etc, this could lower the filming time since more time will be spent on computer generated effects, enviroments and events, i could be mad wrong though
on an unrelated note
s10 omg everything in it was so good im gonna re-watch whole series like 10 times to next season i cant wait

I loved the last episode, it wasn't as dramatic as a lot of other shows, but still ended up being great. I loved how Jaime was still taunting Catelyn while having been severely beaten and stuff. I suspect Draenerys has been thinking about the dragons, and known she could bring them back ever since her brother died, but she had no reason to do anything about it while her husband was "alive".
The thing with Jon Snow seemed kind of stupid to me, so he has his doubts, but it just seems like he was swayed to return too easily, especially after the conversation with Aemon earlier.

Whole scene seemed rushed I agree, if the story was told in another form of media it might have been expanded on.

fuck yeah :p can't wait for season 2 (and the next book)

They still have Sansa and Arya (as far as Robb/Caitlin know)

wow so glad i found this thread. Game of Thrones is an awesome series and has turned me on to other series (The Tudors<<also VERY GOOD) i was wondering where the targarians were going to go with drogo dead and the horde moving on...well i guess we kno now.
the only thing i was a little disappointed about was the fight scenes or rather the fact that their was not 1. i mean they could have shown jamie being captured in the middle of a battle atleast.
they really set up s2 really nicely with Sansa reforming herself from being a friggin idiot. The nightswatch moving out in force. and Rob marching south towards kings landing (so i think). and arya(sp) escaping kings landing. I forget Neds bsatards first name but Snow is prolly one of my favorite characters hes got a lot of character in him that can be developed.
really like this show...and TBH as corny as it is TrueBlood will be back next week and that should hold me over till boardwalk empire and by the end of those 2 shows i better have some more damn GoT

i really liked the ep , but it doesnt solve many issues only set matter seems to be Dany and the dragons, they will try to grow and just burn shit.. i dont like the fantasy elements so much (dragons , white walkers ) zombies are ok , and maybe some magic.. have to buy the books now..

This makes cersei both incestuous, and a whore. She's quite the monster imo.
Not a whore, she isn't taking any money for her 'services'. Just fraternal incest and incest with a cousin.
But yer, she is a monster indeed!

the most interesting part for me was the scene with grand master pycelle. he isnt the one he wants everyone to believe he is. curious to see what he has up his sleeves in the future.

Always good to be underestimated as a weak old man. I don't think it's anything specific, but makes getting out of dodge when fire hits fan a lot easier.

To everyone who has a problem with Cersei's incestuous behaviour, I think your missing the point about that, I don't think she is doing it because she likes it, I believe she is doing it to try and keep the blood "pure" within her family and I would never say that it is right or wrong since it depends on your point of view. (I haven't read the book and really don't intend to, so these are just my thoughts on this.)
I was a little disappointed at Jon Snow, was hoping he would go to war and help Robb but w/e, guess staying at the wall might prove to be more useful.
The scene that got me most intrigued was the scene with the old man (Pycelle I believe?), but I think that was to show that everyone in court is just playing a part so they survive or maybe everyone is just plotting to get to the throne.
I was hoping the show would not to go into the "mystical and magical" direction. The greatest thing about this show was that it was kept down to the realm of the real, I mean you could actually see all this happening here, but now, if it continues exploring the magical world, it's going to get much more childish from my point of view because the game of thrones and all the strategy and manipulation will not mean much if there are people who can use dragons, magic and all that s**t, I mean who can stand against that? They will probably have to create even more magical creatures or people who can use magic to be able to fight that and the actual game of thrones would be just a fading background.
- I know this is all speculation and I might be terribly wrong(which I probably am) but it is just what I feel from the show. I will definitely continue watching this as I want to see how all this turns out.

But yer, she is a monster indeed! You don't have to take money for to be a whore. She does it to control men. She gets something material for it, just not gold.
