I could almost see him smirking as I read about Arya going blind and then nothing. And book 5 with Jon’s death. There is an abusive nature to the last two books, like he knows what his readers are rooting for and refuses to give it to them.

While E2-E4 perhaps were a bit boring since we had to be introduced to the world. However, after that it became a masterful drama show. And fuck Littlefinger was awesome back then. Today he is just annoying. Today, I think it fits more into categories with the likes of other Superhero-tv-series.

That didn't matter to me as I don't care at all for Arya. Her story is probably the weakest in feast. Sam's is also really weak, but has become a really insane plot line for winds

Generally I don't feel they added a lot to the plot, and it just makes it ackward to watch it with your family. Considering the uselessness of the Missandei/Grey Worm scene of a few weeks ago, I don't think they'll resist to give a us a long and useless Jon/Dany scene, though

It's a form of interaction, it's very private and intimate. That's exactly something Dany needs when most of her scenes are the cold ruler type. Make her human again. Ofc there are also sex scenes which happened for the sake of it, i don't deny that. Littlefinger in his brothel was a good example of that. But sexuality is part of humans, why not use it as a story tool as well? But sure i can definitely agree that HBO tends to overdo it a bit.

First they let their healer (thoros of myr) take aggro and die, following which they bailed out of the instance leaving behind their Main Tank (Jon Snow) to die because he already pulled a pack of trash mobs and couldn't mount in time. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if there was a retelling of these seasons (similar to Full Metal Alchemist and FMA- Brotherhood), if and when GRRM gets around to finishing the books. This season has been an unmitigated disaster so far and the only way to enjoy it, is to view it as if you are watching a Michael Bay movie. The wight capturing plan surely cannot happen in book form. It's just too absurd and borderline nonsensical.

The plan was like this: "Let's go north the wall and yolo it". I really had hoped that the show would present us an actual plan to get the wight, but in the end it was a big coincidence. What a surprise.

No in all seriousness, i think they will pull out the trope of the White Walkers actually dying from the humid air in the south as they are super allergic to liquid water, alien invasion movie style. Just kidding, the Nights King is actually Jon's father.

I can somewhat be ok with the idea of "whatever happened happened" and/or that everything happens at once and time is just an illusion to normal people. But in general writers should just stay away from it, it creates problems everywhere usually.

But writers already messed up with timeline/Hodor and while it could be Martin's idea we still should be prepared for something weird -_-
