i really wish ramsey would die also where did his dad go off to? i know he sent that assassin/spy dude to castle black but where did he go himself. Im also really confused if the blackfish thing was actually important or not, leaning towards not atm cause its been ages and theres like no mention at all. Im also wishing for a barristan fight scene i really wanna see him in action, but the actor is kinda old i wonder if he'll be up to the task to train for that scene

it doesnt have to be flashy, he can just be skilled

He confused it with the Ilin Payne actor (Wilko Johnson), who sadly has gotten terminal cancer. He is still alive, but we probably wont see him again.
edit: Just read that things turned out better than expected for Johnson. After having orignially decided to not fight the cancer, his cancer turned out to be less bad than expected and he had surgery now.

zomg i just realized something, Tywin initially came to Oberyn to ask him to be on the judging committee for tyrion's trial, and the condition was that Oberyn has a chance to fight the mountain, which means, he had the whole damn thing plan out to piss Tyrion off so much so that he would ask for a trial for combat. He manipulated everybody to think they are doing what's best for their own interest, everybody was dancing on Tywin's design and they don't even know it! He wanted Tyrion dead, and he wanted Oberyn gone, this is one arrow for two birds strategy. What if Little finger is working with him on this?(ya he killed his own grandson) which means at this point he controls/allied the north, the Eyrie, casterly rock, highgarden, that's 4 kingdom's out of 7. Now the question is how would having the mountain kill Oberyn help him control Sunspear kingdom?

Yeah the first mountaint simply went to play the pale orc in the new hobbit, a smart career move.
Put it this way Rei, did killing off ned stark help keep the north in lannister control?

Remember Tywin's conversation with Jaime? Tywin wanted Tyrion at the wall and Jaime at Casterly Rock. The reason Oberyn was offered a spot as a judge and the reason he was in King's Landing in the first place was to improve relations with Dorne.
What has happened isn't what Tywin planned. Cersei fucked shit up.

Man.I am sad that we don't have the first actor for the Mountain anymore. He was a little bit slimmer than the current one but he looked much more menacing. Like bad temper, will fuck your orders- kill anything regardless of any circumstances type of attitude. The current one is slightly beefier, but he looks less "evil" and gives me an impression of an obedient soldier who is yet another strong and dumb kind of attitude

It is out of question that the first mountain leaving was a huge loss for the show. He could actually be called actor in contrast to the other 2, which are basically just bodies. And his look was perfect. I think they had to reduce his screen time a lot especially in season 2..

I just rewatched the scenes between Tyrion and Jamie/Bronn/Oberyn, and I really can't choose a favourite character between Tyrion and Oberyn anymore. Fuck, Oberyn is such a god damn boss.

The Mountain's first actor was badass. His face was truly terrifying.
Current The Mountain's actor is a qt. He looks like Haribo's gummy bear. I can't imagine him burning the hound's face :D

He's too young. Makeup department needs to get on with it and make him look older, maybe add some scars. Honestly no excuse his face was babylike during that last episode.
|
maybe cover his skin in like dirt and stuff, give him some wrinkles?
|
Nice episode!
I like how this turned out. Lysa is dead... now just need to knock off her son. And I've always wanted to see Petyr and Sansa together. It's a very interesting couple. Much better than Robyn and Sansa.

Yeah I put his look on directors and makeup they easily could of made him look more menacing and less like a simple brute.
I have to say it seems Tywin set up a win-win for himself. The only way Oberyn and the trial doesn't work out in his favor is if Oberyn beats the Mountain, which from appearances alone looks next to impossible. It's hard to imagine the Mountain hasn't come across other skilled fighters and overpowered/defeated them before. Has he come across one with the skill and bravery of Oberyn who knows?
Trial by combat had to of come across Tywins mind in planning this, as even though it might not be extremely common, it's had to of gotten around that's how Tyrion saved his skin the first time.
It's hard to imagine this caught him by surprise, so presumably he has a plan if it's not already part of it.

This was a SUPERB episode, loved it all!
The scene where Myca gave that pie to Brienne and Pod to gift to Arya in case they find them made me 'Aaaah'
That was so childishly delightful and sweet <3

That would be Hot Pie. Myca(h?) is the butcher's boy who the Hound killed in season 1. Arya's friend, and the whole reason why she hates him.

New Mountain looks way too soft. Sure hes as big as an ox, but seriously his face is just way too gentle.
Season 1 Mountain fit the profile really nicely, "SWORD!"
