Just torrent them. I got all 3 seasons at BR quality in a few hours.
Some people try not to brake copyright laws.
And many people don't care that their actions (or lack of) cost lives of many around the world as long as they are OK. Just be happy you were born in nice and wealthy part of the world and be careful to not fall down of your high horse.
Honestly, if you don't have the spare money to shell into GoT, go ahead and torrent guilt-free, because the creators wouldn't have gotten money from you either way.
Personally I'm waiting for the entire series to run so I can get the box set, and torrenting for the present. I don't have an interest in HBO other than this show and buying a regular subscription would be a huge waste of money for me.
Yeah, I mean, I think the ethics of this show in particular are kinda weird. I get anything legally I can; I try to pay my way. with money I've earned. I pay for HuluPlus and Netflix, and honestly, if GoT were available for a reasonable amount of money online, that would be great. But it's not. You have to have a cable subscription (lol) or you pirate it. Or do what I do and share an HBOgo account with a mess of other folks, all thanks to some friendly old people who still actually have a TV.
But in general, yes, pirating would be irrelevant if this stuff was broadcast properly on the internet. But it's not, so content providers have to deal with the problem they've created.

Can´t you guys just buy the series, without having to subscribe to HBO? Here in Brazil we have HBO GO, and there is an option called "series pass"...

So you can get HBO GO without paying for HBO? How does the pricing work in that case. Is there a cost for HBO GO itself and then separate prices for series passes.
The issue is (and I thought this was true everywhere), you need an HBO subscription for HBO GO, and a cable subscription to get HBO. So for people with no cable it's a huge cost overhead.

Oh I see, I was asking this mostly because I was curious. I didn´t actually bought the series pass, since I have a HBO subscription. It´s just that when I go to their site I see an option called "series pass" and I thought you could acess HBO GO from anywhere and buy the pass for one series. If it is like you are saying, it really sucks for people who are interested only in Game of Thrones for exemple!

There is no way to legaly watch Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead or any other high quality tv series on the US release day in germany. At least i dont know any. The first season was aired April the 17th 2011 @ HBO, the first legal oportunity in Germany was the 2th November 2011. DVD / BlueRay was March 30 2012. And thats fast for german TV. So if you dont want to be spoilerd you either pirate it or live under a rock for something between 7 and 12 month.
You want to get rid of pirating content? You want to make money through the internet? Look at Steam and ITunes. They are expensive were bad to use at the beginning have horrible terms of use, you basically own nothing, it doesn´t work without internet, they are spying and manipulating you... Did i forget something? Oh yea: THEY MAKE A FUCKING SHITLOAD OF MONEY. EVERY. FRCKING. DAY.
Make a platform that is easy to use, has original content, doesn´t get on your nerfes and pirating will stopo costing you money.

That's how I feel. And it's how I sleep at night. I'm poor, and a big fan of the show. But, if I couldn't torrent games/movies/music, I wouldn't consume them. And there would still be no money made. At least this way, if I like something, I can recommend it to someone who has money and will buy it. There are really no losers in digital piracy. Contrary to popular opinion. I'm sure George ain't hurting because I didn't shell out the cash to buy the series. Also, I really didn't expect one simple post to stir up so much shit.
Are you trolling us? You're asking if a season of GoT is worth watching?! This isn't your run of the mill 2 bit show that has bad seasons. Each other is better than the last and you must watch them all. How could you possibly skip S2 and go straight to 3? New characters weren't even introduced to you and people literally teleported across the lands and you missed tons of major stuff.

This is the equivalent reasoning of:
"I broke into the muesum to look at the exhibition - it doesn't matter because the artists were getting paid for their art anyway" "I snuck into the concert without paying for a ticket - I didn't have the money, so I wouldn't have been able to pay for it, and this way I can recommend them to people"

No it is not. Not even close. Well the second one is close, but if there is room I don't see a problem for getting for free into a concert you would have never paid for anyways.
People don't understand that we who pirate we do it because we have no other choice. It is easy to be a moralist when you live in world of plenty. But when you scape day by day, month by month, you owe more to the bank then you earn and you work as much as people that were lucky to be born in better parts of the world but still cannot afford shit I am not going to feel guilty about pirating a TV show that is going to help me forget shitty lives we live. And I am even grateful for this, if I was born in China or Africa I would have even less to little and maybe not even an opportunity to pirate stuff. All you moralist, imagine life where you cannot even afford a computer that you can use to pirate shows? Yes, most people in this world are in that situation. So as I said, be careful you don't fall off your high horses.

Man I hate to see this thread to get derailed but your analogies are incredibly flawed. Firstly, where I live at least, most of the museums are free anyway. Also a reasonable person would just pirate the music rather than going through the effort of sneaking into a concert.
But let's take your scenarios in the literal sense, breaking into a museum violates a host of laws unrelated to copyright protection including trespassing, etc. And clearly you can argue that by sneaking into a concert you're taking up space that cannot be occupied by a paying customer. You're very obviously doing harm to someone else. Digital piracy does not work that way. Making a copy of something does not deny legitimate access to someone else.
Now I'm not saying I support piracy but your arguments are illogical and just reeks of moral pretentiousness.

"I don't have the money" is a crappy argument though. It's all about the choices you make, nobody doesn't spend $10 a month on something they don't need. It's about priority. You could not get that haircut, not have a high-end cellphone (like all students), not drink any alcohol. Apart from that, I think i'm pretty much level with you. Btw, I should really start to rewatch Season 1, april is getting closer!

Can a guy get some actual GoT discussion up in here?
I'll start. Who's the first important character that you think will die this season?
I'm looking forward to see some Lennisters suffering, they're untouched yet?
