I wanted him to stay dead because I thought he he was a fantastic character from beginning to end that didn't need to be brought back but the in universe reasons for why it couldn't be done were dumb im pretty sure kisame is not a deepwater fish capable of survivng extreme pressure also not someone Kabuto can order around I mean he's part shark-thing right? Either way Jiraya's arm is still somewhere in the rain village i dunno how good the rain village's janitors are, but i dont think dismembered limbs just sit on the ground for weeks at a time Wasn't Obito in the rain village at the time? Or close enough? idk I mean I guess Pain had no reason to take it so if Obito wasn't close by it wouldn't have been grabbed so i guess everyone forgot that Kabuto was the one running around animating corpses?

Kabuto was the one doing the collecting and he'd been doing it long before offering his services to Obito.

I admit the war arc hasn't gotten me excited at all in the last 4 years (holy shit it's actually been this since the arc started) but I will still shed a manly tear when I read the very last chapter tomorrow.
|
is the next the very last :o
|
I think they release 2 chapters tomorrow
|
2 chapters with 700 being full color i think, just saw some leaked images, look up at your own risk.

Yeah today should be a double chapters, including a full colored one.
Edit : Err, I mean tomorrow... Old habits die hard.

Agreed. Naruto has been really lackluster for a super long time, but this ending (mostly, minus the power levels) is pretty much what I was expecting. I accepted long ago that Naruto was never going to become what I wanted it to be, but I could be happy as long as the last fight was Naruto/Sasuke, and it was decent. Given how drained both of them were, I think it ended up being decent.
I know a lot of people will essentially chalk this up as being another victory for Talk no Jutsu, but given everything Naruto has done in his constant pursuit of Sasuke, I really hope people view this more as Narutos stubbornness, commitment, strength, willpower, and (lol) 'way of the ninja' finally paying off vs "oh he talked to Sasuke and then Sasuke changed his mind." I mean, talk no jutsu failed on Sasuke numerous times and through sheer willpower and strength Naruto still managed to beat him down and turn him back. And I say beat him down because I considered Naruto to be a lot weaker at the moment. Also, this manga has embodied the fact that Naruto IS change, Naruto IS revolution (so much so that we all got sick of it and it became a running joke). Naruto is exactly what Sasuke wants for the ninja world...only peacefully. It took one final show of power to convince him of this fact, but Sasuke changed because of what Naruto ultimately represents, not because of talk no jutsu.
And I understand that some people might just considered what I said to be exactly what talk no jutsu is, really just kind of a personal opinion on it.
In the end, like I said above, with how poor the last few years of Naruto have been, I think I'm going to end up pretty happy with how this ending has gone down. This manga has been all about change, and at no point did I ever see Naruto and/or Sasuke dying with a result that would change their world.
On the downside, I'm going to have a small hole in my heart. I can remember when my friend and I first discovered the Naruto anime and would stay up until 7am watching episodes in my basement. I even remember when we got sick of fillers and abandoned it for the manga. A glorious day. Naruto has been so shitty for so long, yet every week I anticipate the chapter out of sheer habit. It's going to be a weird feeling knowing that it isn't coming (until we get a stupid spin off/sequel. I'm still pulling for 'The Konohamaru Chronicles' or something). Here's hoping for a good chapter and conclusion that doesn't make us all completely regret the insane amount of years we've been reading.

The rage regarding how some of the characters end up is quite amusing.

It's pretty much all over Twitter, Tumblr and well known forums. I'm pretty pleased with the ending, but I hope Kishi enjoys waking up to rabid fans pressing their faces against his window, frothing at the mouth and hurling death threats.
