 That being said, this feels a little too rushed. I'm sure it will be a little more fleshed out in the anime, but the manga has been at a really awful pacing for the past year and a bit. While the story as a whole is actually quite interesting, there are definitely pieces that could be omitted, whereas others (such as the Sasuke changes in personality) that could be explored in more depth. Even a chapter devoted to Minako getting the nine tails power up or some explanation would have been interesting and warranted. Even a couple pages would make this make more sense, rather than me having to rationalize the story to come to my own conclusions. Still excited to see what happens next week. | ||

Why does he suddenly care about wanting to become hokage and where did this desire of caring about the village come from? Starwars had something similar to this because of Darth Vader sudden personality change but the execution at how they did it was much better and it showed that Darth Vader was conflicted with choosing the right path but he had a reason and that reason was his SON. Where is sasuke reason? Sasuke during his whole time talking with his brother and hokage just sat there like he was half listening and appear and said he want to be hokage..... | ||

Agree with 100% of this post. That's the only reasonable way I see how of the series. Naruto becomes Hokage (maybe) and has a short run as head ninja just like Minato because he sacrifices himself for the village or Sasuke. Sasuke takes over and breaks the cycle of Uchiha hatred/rivalry with the village elders. Neither of them hook up with Sakura. Now that's an ideal ending. | ||

The author is trying too hard to rebuild the same old pattern : sasuke being madara who wants to become Hokage but can't, Naruto being shodaime who wants to be Hokage but will eventually let his "best friend" - who tries to kill him since 300 chapters - become hokage in his place because hey I'm a pussy since 600 chapter so why not now. Naruto having the same jutsu as his father (yeah, that super sage mode) and liking a girl that is exactly like his mother. | ||

Upon defeating Madara and Obito, he'll talk no jutsu them and say, look, you're dream came true, as did mine. A world without war, a world without pain, all of us, together, have created this world, by seeking our own ninja way, and by staying true to our own beliefs, we've contributed to making this happy world. Thank you. Madara defeated, ends edo tensei and dies knowing he achieved what he wanted. Obito releases the 1st cells attached to him and dies knowing that he finally realizes what true happiness is and having reconciled with kakashi. Sasuke and Naruto talk one last time with the other hokage all lined up. Naruto says that to end the eternal conflict tied to the uchiha's, the hate must stop now, and all 5 hokage agree. Sasuke is announced the 6th hokage for his valiant efforts in stopping madara (and lets just say he does some shit that saves everyone or naruto or even the 5 current kage so he is more easily forgiven). Naruto, knowing that the world is finally at peace and that he has completed his life long dreams of saving the world, being recognized by not just Konoha, but the entire ninja world, and rescuing his best friend Sasuke from the darkness, can die in peace. He casts the soul sealing jitsu in front of the 4 kage as they begin to fade away from edo tensei being ended, and stabs himself with the blade of the death god, and says good bye. staring into the sunset, as he sees Jiraiya smiling down on him saying 'i knew i could trust you with my dream' and tears burst from everyone's eyes. Cut to Hinata, and Sakura, who both cry the most stating that they'll never forget everything Naruto taught them. Kakashi appears out of the other realm and puts his hand on their shoulders and say, none of us will ever forget... the great ninja who ended pain in this world. NARUTO. END SERIES with a huge pan out of the entire ninja force staring into the sunset with sasuke and the other kage's ready to lead the world to a new era. last panel, show orochimaru hiding in the darkness hissing and laughing maniacly. DUN DUN DUN..... | ||
