Assuming the one under the first set of rocks was the one that phased, the reamining half was basically "left behind". Does that mean he can theoretically be in two separate places at once depending on where the other "half" is unphased? It is just a bit perplexing in terms of how his ability seems to have activated and not activated for a certain half of his body which eventually was destroyed yet he survived long enough to be patched up eventhough the other half is where the heart is. Mabe we will find out he has a unique anatomy where his heart is on the other side of where it should be. =) | ||

He blacked out, and most likely had the rinnegan transplanted while he was unaware. | ||

But his phasing out parts of his body doesn't make him move them to a different position in terms of where he physically is, just a different dimension. For him the true potential of sharingan is probably susano'o and possibly the ability to obtain rinnegan. Hence, Kakashi getting MS is not equal to unlocking it's full potential. | ||
