Overall it was a nice fanservicey~ chapter, but with Sasuke implying that nothing Itachi has done or could do will stop him from crushing Konoha I don't really get why the flashback was needed. We already knew Sandaime was against violence and Danzo would use any means necessary to protect Konoha, besides Itachi's parents forgiving him I didn't really see the point of the chapter :s

Itachi was anbu when he was 10 and kakashi when he was 11, and the anbu are the leafs special ops ninja - the best if the best. It's not exactly unheard of a child in the narutoverse to have really op jutsu and a lot of strength in general.
