I've been watching the Naruto anime, but I've run out of episodes!
I finished the arc where Naruto is being shipped off to be hidden/train with the 8 tails.
Now its only fillers.
Guess it's time for me to start reading the Manga. :D
It doesn't look like the anime number correlates accurately with the manga.
Any idea of whereabouts I should start?
Thanks in advance!

Around chapter 492 since that is when they arrive on the island i believe

1. If you chop off her head, she can't regen that. Unless she has a secret pact with some god.....
2. There are always counters to everything in anime. Tsunade will get pierced through the side with some sword, she'll grit her teeth and say, "this isn't enough to stop me". And then her enemy will go on to explain that for the last 10 years they have been studying her regen technique and through several painful procedures they invented a way to counter it. In anime, NO ONE is invincible.

And then (since this is Naruto), Tsunade will say something like "and what do you expect i have been doing the last 10 years?" insinuating shes improved her jutsu, and that counter will , in fact, not counter it. Then shell grin and wait for Naruto to rescue her, as she is pretty useless.

Not nearly as much as in Bleach I agree. But unfortunately very important parts of the story are pretty much bullshit.
- Itachi's "I'm good. I just killed our whole family for peace. And helped villains for years to destroy world to give u sharingan hax." - Zombies! everyone is back! and coincidentally faces his former rival/master/student/friend on the battlefield.

Let me ask you guys a question:
How do you personally keep up with Naruto?
I realize that when I read Naruto, go away for a little bit, then come back and read it again, I'm like "wtf? Who are these guys?"
When Naruto first started out, it was simplistic and easy to follow. You got your 3 main characters, a sensei, a hokage, hokage's followers, and Naruto's fellow classmates.
And now it's all chaotic.
You've got a freaking war going on between like 10000000 alliances, and with 10000000000000 people. It's ridiculous. It's nearly to the point where I just don't understand what's going on anymore.
A new character(s) keeps getting introduced on a chapterly basis..... and it's driving me nuts..... I don't even recognize half the people on that manga anymore!!!
So tell me guys, how do you keep up with this?

Just read it every week, and don't forget it. If you can't remember details, you will miss out on a ton of intricacies in any manga or novel.
I guess the best practice would be too just read more with the goal of remembering everything. You should get good at it eventually.

I tend to typically read the weeks issue about 2 or 3 times now that there are a lot more characters in the manga. That way I can get a feel for the people and the way they are related to one another. So if you're having trouble keeping up, just go back to the point that you felt comfortable and work your way from there. It'll be totally worth it

Well how many episodes are you skipping really? I don't feel like there are too many characters, you get used to them over time since there are lik 357272467 filler episodes, then some characters then more fillers. So it's not like you get too suprised.
I have no problem keeping up with it D:

If I do this, I'm pretty much starting over because so much has happened and I can't recall it. Where I'm comfortable? Probably the first Genin exam

UNLESS they lose, and they can't lose. It would completly fuck up the narutoverse. 5 kages vs an impure ress, if they lose that series becomes completly broken beyond repair.

madara has the wood element and his imba eyes, its totally OP, he can keep dropping that blackhole over and over to make moon size AoE meteor without fearing of nuking himself in the same time. Or he can keep blasting people with those attraction / repulsion bullshits that reflects everything or pull in anything. And he can absorb all chakra type ninjutsu spells with his obsorbing shield. The 5 Kages will need naruto and bee to save their asses, and i bet they are not ganna arrive in time to save everybody, for one, the old fart is ganna die for sure, tsunade is likely to bite the dust saving gaara when madara put seeds inside gaara's sand and impale gaara with overgrowth wood jutsu from within his sand shield. The only one who can touch madara's susano was the mizukage's vomits, which can melt sasuke's susano, but she can't use it unless its a closed environment or the attack range is too wide that everybody around her is ganna get melted too. So what's ganna happen is Gaara is ganna make a huge ass sand room, traps both madara's susano and mizukage inside, and she releases her vomit and madara rapes her while she is melting that hole, and then they have A goes in with his lightning speed to impale madara and then have gaara to seal that shit with his desert coffin. and A needs tsunade to heal him after he goes back from getting own by the vomit.
And then after all that shit they found out that madara is so imba that they were only fighting his shadow clone, and now everybody is out of chakra. and gets rape left and right, and then naruto and bee shows up to save the day.

Madara has a major weakness. Plot no jutsu. If the kages lose the series is over. Naruto can not beat the combined forces of 5 fucking kages, that would be the biggest jumping the shark moment in any series ever.

ugh it's called reading it every week? people who establish a genuine interest in any storyline or plot don't forget these things. of course you're going to be lost in any and every plotline not only in naruto if you miss a year's worth of content. if i were you start off where you stopped and slowly catch up to where the current chapter is. or if you're like me, re read the whole damn thing every once in a while.
