I think there being 2 Madaras is not at all impossible. (I mean, what is in the Narutoverse) Either there could be a separation between mind and body and somehow Madara split himself
Or maybe even that Madara was beheaded and there is a body and head. The head died and now is under the spell of Kabuto with a different body attached to it, and the body is still alive and is Masked Madara (Headlesschickennojutsu!!!)
Or, the masked Madara is some kind of super advanced shadow clone that didn't die when the body of Madara died (because there being some specific Jitsu vs Jitsu action going on and that .....reversed the polarity of....oh nm)
Or Madara is the 1st, for reasons only known to us after he has revealed himself and there was no clue whatsoever in previous episodes.
All in all I halfway expect Scooby Doo to show up and unmask Madara as just some old fart in a suit trying to take over...and he would have gotten away with it too !!....
BTW, doesn't it feel like, after all the speculations in this and many other threads and posts, whatever the answer is going to be in this whole Madara thing, it will be disappointing.
I mean some of the scenarios posted are actually pretty awesome.

I like this theory. Have we seen Tobi maskless yet? I almost think we have, but mostly think we haven't.
