edit: On further observation it seems that the top part stretched down and the pleated part is still about the same length. I guess that's why there is so much cleavage.

I'm still hoping it gets better, but it feels like a weak, watered down version on a real Joss Whedon show. Which is what it is. I really, really want so bad to like it. I'll give it a few more episodes, but between the low quality of the show, and the terrible ABC player, I will eventually give up if it stays this bad.

ABC has picked up the back-nine episodes of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to bring the series to a complete 22-episode season. Here's the official press release: ABC ANNOUNCES FULL SEASON ORDER FOR “MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.” ABC has picked up new hit drama “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” for a full season, it was announced today by Paul Lee, president, ABC Entertainment Group. The series opened as TV’s highest-rated drama debut in nearly 4 years (since 11/03/09) and ranks as the No. 1 new show of the 2013-14 season among Adults 18-49 (4.0 Live + Same Day rating/5.7 Live + 3 Day rating). On average, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is No. 1 in its Tuesday, 8 o’clock time period, and has more than doubled the young adult delivery in the hour year-to-year (+150%). “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Agent Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz and Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” Marvel’s first television series, was co-created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen (“Dollhouse,” “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”), who also serve as executive producers along with Jeph Loeb (“Smallville,” “Lost,” “Heroes”) and Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”). “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television, and is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.

You can argue whether its good or bad all day, but people are going to watch it. At least the first few episodes. If its going to continue the success a season or two from now on the other hand..

The show isn't nearly as bad as people in this thread make it out to be. Its not great, and perhaps not deserving of the amount of the popularity its getting atm. But its by no means bad either. It also shows a lot of potential to be really good one day. That said, there isn't a show I wouldn't trade for Firefly either.

I just wish this show had some direction. 3 episodes in and its just "go on mission, comeback safely". only overall plot development is in the characters which happens very slowly. and everything thats unanswered in the episode is just entirely dropped the next one. Like for example, whatever happened to everything that happened in the pilot? What happened to the doctor, the hero guy, and the mysterious organization? entirely forgotten in the subsequent episodes. that proceed take off in an entirely different direction. I have that same feeling with episode 3... Ok we now have a villain of some sort YAY. ok lets forget about him entirely next week? and do something new that the show will forget about entirely the week after, and keep including more teasers and cliffhangers to every episode they then forget about? Just how the show feels to me. Im fine with every episode being standalone in a sense, but they keep setting every episode up to be something more like there is supposed to be this continuity in the story between episodes, yet never happens.

About episode 1: Go watch Iron man 3, they are intertwined.

I have, they still kind of just flat out drop everything else about that episode in the next episode though. Iron man 3 while answers alot of questions, still like what happened to everyone involved in that episode is still a mystery... And the super power thing in episode one was not entirely extremis either, Project centipede gave the impression while it included parts of extremis, it had alot more to it than just that. And its also a bit difficult to place how close together the events in ironman 3 and the pilot are. As if coulson knows about extremis from the glow look, im assuming it took place sometime after that movie, As both start some time shortly after newyork.

Canceled shows almost always end with cliffhangers because of this. Networks don't make the show crappy until it is picked up for a whole season ^_^

+ Show Spoiler [Description] + Melinda May goes in to take out a rogue S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, but she may have met her match in a clip from an all-new episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," premiering Tuesday, October 15 at 8:00 p.m. ET!
