I personally think that Ward might have faked his brothers death, but even if he didn't he seemed like a crook. I think Ward, given his "I'm taking responsibility" thing he got going on, is going double-double agent now. He's acting as a double agent for Shield even though they don't know it and wouldn't want him to.
He is putting himself in a place where he can make a difference with regards to helping Skye and and the rest of the team. I don't think he has any loyalty to Shield specifically though, only his old team which he still thinks himself as part of.
In other words Ward is one of the good guys, they are just making him look psycho to set up for further plot-twists with him.
Even if Ward thinks he's one of the good guys in his own twisted sense and he wants to play for the good guy's team Coulson is 100% right, there is no redemption for him. The guy is insane.
Yeah, he murdered a few too many people by now for the "I was a good guy all along!"-trope, so I very much doubt they'll go down that route. Which I think is the absolutely right decision. I love him as the crazy psychopath bad guy. Makes me want to rewatch the first season.
There were some pretty good moments in this episode, I really like Ward now. Much better as a crazy dude than he was in S1.
Though I really hate the Fitz/Simmons pairing they keep playing around with. I don't mind if they make it a romantic thing between them but I really don't need UST with these characters, it really dumbs them down.
The Diviner gets to the temple, instead of wiping everyone out, it activates all the latent superpowers within all those that the Kree fucked with a looong time ago. It gives them a new, virtually endless "baddie of the week" list with a bunch of newly empowered assholes, and powers up Skye and Raina. It also sets up the Inhumans movie that's supposed to come out in a few years.
nice episode, really brings out the inhumans hype. Now I only need to have Vin Diesel confirmed for the role which would be funny because his voiceacting role only speaks 3 words and if he does blackbolt then his acting role i MCU doesn't speak...
can't wait to see last ep ... I enjoy this shown since S01E07, and come on i think sky is a beast now cuz she's .. special. I mean she can have some ability to learn faster, stuff liek that
Really loving the show as of late. Every episode of Season 2 has been a blast. I really hope it doesn't go the way deth2munkies suggests, having a long-form single story has been incredible to watch and something this sort of show has lacked for years.
I really don't want to see Skye/Raina or anyone as ultra powerful, it would really fuck with the dynamic of the SHIELD agents if one of them was significantly more powerful than the rest.

Skye turns out to be a version of Quake. Evidence: she's the daughter of an evil doctor who is somehow more than human, and the music box was playing "Daisy, Daisy" in her nightmare. Daisy is Quake's first name, and we know her REAL name isn't Skye.
In the comics, she apparently got her powers naturally from her father, but in this version, her powers will be awakened by the Terrigen Mists which will be released when the Diviner reaches the Temple. Given the way AoS has set it up, the Mists will likely act as an awakening agent to all people who have the potential to be Inhumans and set up the movie.

Broad strokes? Secret society of humans that were evolved by aliens millenia ago. Lived in their secret city till the Avengers and the like stumbled in. All of them have superpowers.
Marvel is basically looking to make them their "X-Men" because they don't have the rights to X-Men or mutants, so look for "mutants" to show up as "inhumans" (i.e. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in Age of Ultron).

That would make some sense as her Dad is fond of yelling "THAT'S NOT HER NAME". Would still prefer that the show doesn't go towards the super-powers area, but I guess it's inevitable. As deth2munkies says, inhumans are probably going to be their X-Men.

I know! It's kind of dumb to pretend superpowers don't exist in a world filled with aliens and super powers. Give me more super powers! That's the point of comic book shows. Shows like CSI and NCIS already exist if all you want is realistic crime happening.
