How is it that I find every single decision Mike makes utterly moronic? It is staggering how every single thing he did was the wrong decision to an extent that it blew my mind.

I agree... + Show Spoiler + It's because he doesn't understand the lawyer-mindest, since he didn't go to law school; he's too naive and he takes things too personally. He's not objective enough. And his views have worked a few times, but more often than not they do more harm than good... especially in this episode.

On a more interesting note about the episode, it was actually possible to see the scene with Louis and Jessica in the same context Louis did because both the scene where she tells him to fire her and the scene where Harvey tells Mike he shouldnt be working this case were both put up in full on youtube as a preview. I have to say it was interesting in its own way to see it from Louis PoV first and then get the correct PoV after the episode aired. Also my DVR clipped the preview for the next episode (dont read this if you didnt want to see it) but was that Trevor as the person she was married to? I legitimately am curious because my DVR clipped off the preview so I couldnt rewind and see it or check my DVR and see it.

I actually asked myself the same question at first but I'm 99% sure it's not. Also, it would make no sense story-wise. Looked a bit like him though. Rachel saying "You have no idea what you passed on" to Mike gave me nerdchills.

I mean Trevor is sort of one of the most important side characters that this series has so it would be odd for him to basically be gone the entire season except for a flashback episode. Also I would advise not looking up promo on youtube because first thing I clicked on basically spoiled what is probably the big scene of the next episode and now im sad about it. I do find it odd the official Suits channel would do that but I guess they know best.

Not only that, but I wonder about the writing or plot development - some of the choices he made, and other characters, just had me face-palming. I thought it was an uneven episode, but hopefully the whole + Show Spoiler + "getting his shit together" + Show Spoiler + Im actually curious about what choices the other characters made that was wrong. Literally everyone made decisions that were either very good decisions or very undesrstandable decisions.

(Tess had briefly asked Mike if he would be okay with their situation *if she weren't with her husband anymore*, right before Mike made her leave his apartment.) Probably the smartest thing Mike did all episode. That being said, Mike was still the biggest and most consistent screw up this episode, and I feel bad that Harvey- and now Donna and Jessica- have to keep bailing him out and covering for his mistakes and fake past. If Mike was at least a model assistant, it would be easier to sympathize with his situation every time an unfortunate circumstance jeopardized his job... but he keeps pushing and pushing.

MIKE ROSS IS A BITCH!!!! the decisions he made in this show were awful...The shit he just does makes me so angry for some reason, but omfg this show was long awaited for and cant't wait for next week because it looks like louis found something out, maybe about mike's hiring that he didn't go to Harvard. And I agree i think Harvey is getting really pissed about mikes screw ups and he mike needs to get his shit in order before he gets thrown out. by the way wat was the song at the ending of the show, i like it EDIT: added more stuff

As for the other characters, as a poster above me stated Tess' whole character is wrapped up in wrong - not to mention the fact that she's basically Jenny 2.0 with similar-ish looks to boot. Also, Harvey's decision to hire Katrina and how he handled the DUI case are questionable - understandable, sort of, but still they do put him at risk of a quid pro quo, like Mike was saying, and he's intentionally ignoring facts of the case albeit in the interests of his client. In addition, the Maria (I think) storyline with Louis' potential associate already has its own issues. He tried to hire her without telling Jessica despite already being in the doghouse and then proceeds to tell his dominatrix of a recruiter that he had to rescind the offer. Like I said, these aren't monumental, show-wrecking plot points but I'd be sad if the writers just have to use dumb-ass episodes on a rotating basis for the characters in order to move the show forward. Still a fan, just hoping for better plotlines to develop like that of Zoey.

I dont even mind Mike getting together with her because she did seem to be hit first girlfriend which I guess makes her the original Jenny. Still if he actually liked her and if she actually meant what she said than I could probably live with it if Mike had chosen to stay with her. Also, in regards to the Maria story Louis was (correclty I might add) going under the assumption that he would be allowed to hire his own personal associate like all other senior partners had. The only reason Jessica even interfered is because it jepornized Mike and she couldnt let that happen.
