Even though it sure looks like SIU is hyping up a Baam vs Mad Dog fight. Thing is Reflejo is probably not strong enough to take him out. Maybe Baam "wins" and Reflejo goes and gives the killing blow. To be honnest I see Koon making friends with Mad Dog some how by the end and then season 3 is a time skip to around floor 72 near the WingTree (Weolhaiksong) area.

Also look at the duality between the two personalities and how Baam is fairly peaceful and clean while Mad Dog is bloodthirsty and brutal. What makes you think that? At this point Mad Dog seems to be the opposite of bloodthirsty and brutal.

He just looks like hes brutal with those tattoos, and i guess maybe his name/presence but so far havnt seen him be bloodthirsty or brutal in the sense of uncontrolled.

Yeah, but Baam isn't the typical FUG member.

I guess I'll have faith in ToG though, maybe there'll be some really interesting plot twist soon like them being unable to finish the battles or something. If they go on this workshop battle tangent for like 10 episodes without the main story moving along at all that would be really meh .-.

SIU has a writing style comparable to Lost where he gives a character depth and plot build up, and always delivers on making you wonder about certain characters. real good chapter i think here too, setting the stage for a great battle with im sure some underhanded tactics coming from the shadows soon too when baam and mad dog fight

Was pretty hyped for it and thus far it definitely hasn't delivered. lately ToG hasn't been that good to be honest, after the Flower of Zygaena mini arc it's been quite meh for me(didn't really care at all for the right arm devil arc etc)... Hopefully something really interesting happens soon. Season 2 should be coming to an end pretty soon unless it wants to like double the lenght of season 1. So many things are still unsolved/so many questions left and I'd like the main story to pick up again rather than just these battles. Of course it doesn't help that I seriously couldn't care less about this new group of people, I really really hope the initial group gets their screentime back soon, so much more interesting than Wangnam and buddies(even though Wangnam sadly feels like a key character). Theres probably not gonna be a "powering up chitchat" lol (dbz)..tho while their fighting i can see the audience/groups talking about some FUG history/mad dog stuff

Well, obviously there's another side to the mad dog we haven't seen yet, his motives, etc. They're gonna have to explain it somehow and it's probably gonna be through baam. Based off how the story's been so far I'm pretty sure he's not just gonna kill or get killed without resolving that particular plot point.
