Like..holy shit. Words cannot describe how much I loved all the character interaction between the CMC and their older sisters. Everything was so perfect. Okay, so time for a bit of a reaction. I've been in love with the whole "Scoot needs a big sister figure" concept. I've also loved the concept of Scoot being unable to fly and needing Dash to help. This episode is probably in my top 5 of all time, right up there with Rainboom, Chronicles, Sisterhooves, and Luna Eclipsed. The episode had a lot of buildup and didn't seem like anything special, but in the latter half, it got amazing and didn't stop. I laughed, I cried, I hugged my Dash tightly. As others have said, this episode really was the embodiment of the spirit of MLP. The new writer is incredible, right up there with Larson and McCarthy. If this guy continues to produce work of this calibur, he's an incredible addition to the writing team of the show, especially if he's replacing Merryweather. Anyway, this is exactly the episode I've been waiting on for a long, long time, and it was well worth the wait. | ||

There was the opening sequence of Scootaloo on her board (a throwback to a great moment from a previous episode). There was Rarity showing up with a wagon full of supplies. There was Dashie's entrance of her being nonchalantly awesome (great for visualizing how Scootaloo sees her). It established everything it needed to, and it was such a great payoff to the whole Dashie/Scootaloo subplot that the fandom has been enthralled by since season 1. And then the episode piled it on with some really great visuals and animation. Holy crap, so much concentrated win spread across two episodes. Season 3 has been so freaking good so far. As someone who's been through exactly what Scoot went through there, minus the anxiety-about-being-seen-as-fearful part, that was actually immensely accurate - right down to the part about trying to keep everybody awake because she didn't want to go to bed part.  Kudos for realism! | ||
