My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Page 677

It's finally an episode that has everything that I like about this show: interaction between the characters, good humor, cool visuals, cool background music, heartwarming story, ponies being ridiculously adorable, and there wasn't anything/one detracting focus from the important ponies. RD not being an asshole is always nice too.

The only thing that doesn't sit right with me is Luna. I like Luna, and she filled a cool role in this episode. But "I go into everypony's dreams around the world to give life advice" seems really forced. I feel like I'm being pandered to way too hard.

I don't know what it was about the ep but I really didn't like it. It just felt like a stale series of scenes that didn't really have an endgame to it. Constant "oh lets spend time with dashie" and then scoot being scared being the story line didn't really click with me. It was very insulated to just scoots ment that scoot never really had anyone to talk to. I liked the luna canon of being in peoples dreams as they sleep.

I don't know I might just be pretty jaded. Hasn't been a good week for me personally I guess.

Such a sweet episode

That was one of the most touching moments of the entire series imo. Scootaloo who can't fly getting carried by her idol. It kinda reminded me of a make-a-wish foundation story.

This episode had several characters all behaving like themselves. Applejack, Rarity, Scootaloo, Dashie, all were acting like themselves. It wasn't over the top, and it was used perfectly. They played off each other really well, which is exactly what the best episodes do.

It had some really great moments. I don't even need to mention Dashie literally taking Scoots under her wing, but HOLY CRAP was that awes

ome. There was the opening sequence of Scootaloo on her board (a throwback to a great moment from a previous episode). There was Rarity showing up with a wagon full of supplies. There was Dashie's entrance of her being nonchalantly awesome (great for visualizing how Scootaloo sees her). It established everything it needed to, and it was such a great payoff to the whole Dashie/Scootaloo subplot that the fandom has been enthralled by since season 1.

And then the episode piled it on with some really great visuals and animation. It was like a lost halloween episode, and in terms of visual style it was a continuation of both Luna Eclipsed (the haun

When the episode ended, I immediately went back and watched Magic Duel and Sleepless in Ponyville back to back (because I was waiting for an HD upload of Sleepless). Holy crap, so much concentrated win spread across two episodes.

Season 3 has been so freaking good so far.

RD taking Scoots under her wing just about beat beat filly twi for most adorable thing ever.

I have always wanted a camping episode (was a bit disappointed when I found out Sisterhooves Social wasn't one), a Scootaloo episode, and especially an episode about RD mentoring Scootaloo and being a big sister to her.

And I got it all in one awesome package!

Solid 10/10

Luna peering into everypony's dreams is kinda weird and freaky, but other than that the episode was really cute. At the end, I thought Rainbow was gonna throw Scootaloo, kinda like how Shining Armor threw Cadance
