Are there any dramas that are new right now, not like Haeundae Lovers or any of those lovey dovey things? I'm fine with romance, but not if romance is the main plot.

I used to think the Shi-won's dad was one of the more annoying, comic relief characters, and didn't think much of the parental relationship with Shi-won was a general one with comical parents bickering & the dad annoyance over Shi-won's extreme H.O.T fanaticism. Probably the point where I really, really appreciate the good development of the characters was (Spoilers for Episode 5-6) - + Show Spoiler + The whole cancer incident with the father, which is probably when I started really, really liking this drama. With the scenes when Shi-won's mom gives Shi-won the notebook containing that dad did for her & the mom's final call to the writer she's been pestering, pleading that she change the ending to the drama she's writing for the sake of the happiness of her husband & those in the ward dealing with cancer really brought it home for me. The connections the writers make with events, items and people also make it fun to watch. I always find it interesting reading posts about some of the extra bits that I missed or the detailed clues presented in the drama regarding + Show Spoiler + who Shi-won's husband is. Oh yeah, forgot to say Eunji is such a qtpie. :D

+ Show Spoiler + Best scene gotta be where he watches one of his older movies with his gf and says that the dude is a terrible actor One thing I dont really like about reply though is the Busan accent, It's kinda annoying after a certain time hehe.

Thats hilarious considering the plot of the drama with Eunji's friend. + Show Spoiler + Eun Ji Won also studied abroad in Hawaii just like his character does in the show. Pretty cool how they worked that in.

You're options include Dramafever or torrenting the episodes.

I'd torrent them but everytime I do my download speeds drop from 2 MB/sec to practically 10 KB/sec. I watched it on netflix, no ads but your best bet would be like viki, dramafever and dramacrazy.net Just finished ep. 13 of reply 1997! I can't wait for more :3

Dramacrazy.net has ep 13 of reply subbed, but quality isn't the greatest there. Beggars can't be choosers.

I probably would have ignored it if it wasn't for that. Good emotion, and deep story despite the lack of a lot of dialogue.
