I gave up on ep7. She has what I can only describe as a stroke whenever she is supposed to display any sort of displeasure. Someone will say something or look at her and just watch her facial contortions for a good 5 seconds+. If someone did that in real life, you would ask if they need an ambulance.
The director is either blinded by her beauty or realised early on that she is just so bad that doing additional takes and telling her to tone it down is not an option due to time, and probably cries himself to sleep every night because his career is eroding in front of his eyes. She's that bad.

I don't find her "shuddering with indecision whenever confronted" face to be anything out of the norm as far as korean dramas go, although to be honest, I am disappointed that all the character developments and monologue can only happen when they are drunk, otherwise they are too one dimensional to develop without alcohol

Started watching rooftop prince. Engrish galore! Synopsis specifically mentions Seoul, not Murrica, so hopefully it will be over soon.
Yeah, was only a brief part. *phew*. I see why the ratings are high, it's funny and Han JiMin is a cutie. Micky Yoochun has a lot of lady fans too, I hear.

The K2H english scenes are really really really curlupandlookaway for me, but the french scene was really awesome to me, I guess this is how the koreans view the english scenes too?

99% of English in KDrama is so bad I have to skip the offending scenes after being burned once in any drama, however important it is to the story. It's not just the Korean actors being horrible at English, it's the Americans too. Bad acting and nails on chalkboard accents.
Obviously Koreans don't notice or it wouldn't continue to be in vogue having English scenes.

I think they force the americans to be bad at english or something, so that anyone can atleast try and understand it, either that or its impossible to pick up a native speaker or a competent person who speaks english from the street.

went through 3 episodes of RTP yesterday + Show Spoiler +to offset the coming episodes of K2H
as shallow as it sounds, i feel like i am watching a 2nd grade comedy just because of the cast... han ji min for example looks like a squirtle to kim tae hee (my princess / iris) 's blastoise and micky is like the less handsome version of joo won(baker king)

I do that all the time with K drama. I will see likenesses at first, but as I become more accustomed to their faces I don't see it any longer. I made the same fleeting connection with Tae Hee here too.
I mean, type any pretty actresses hangul name into google and somewhere on the page will be a mislabeled pic of Kim Tae Hee, Son Ye Jin, Jun Ji Hyun or some famous singer/idol they look a bit like . Koreans are one of the most homogeneous nations, so it can't be helped.

Most drama actresses aren't that good in my experience. She got casted because she's an ok actress but extremely popular and attractive, and for kdramas those are more important.
It should be telling that a number of kdrama actresses and kidols have confessed that they auditioned to be an actress/singer but ended up becoming the other instead- the companies choose careers for them not based on talent but arbitrary choice/if they need a girl group member/if an idol shows some acting talent (in which case they pull them off the team and make them a Kang Sora or SSK etc.)
edit- @Vorgrim's post right above me- it doesn't help that Koreans tend to have one standard notion of beauty for women especially, and since plastic surgery doesn't carry the same negative stigma that it does in the U.S. all plastic surgeons alter faces to approach the same ideals- large eyes, straight nose, small face/heart shaped esque jawline, etc., so actresses that you know have gotten an extensive amount of work done (Park Min Young, Han Ga-In) all look similar because the plastic surgeons are attempting to approach the same ideal.
