Memory loss/hemorrhage storyline is kinda cheap, characters are retarded etc. Bridal Mask is even more retarded, but it has fighting every episode and Han Chae Ah. I remember reading that people liked Queen Inhyun's Man and thought, since I had tried to watch it and not got far, I would give it a go. Turns out I had watched it all and completely forgotten about the whole thing. Bear in mind it only finished in June and I watched it after the fact. Combination of it being ultimately forgettable and old age.

It's really confusing and the plot of about 7 years happens in the first episode, but as soon as you are into it, it is reeeally good. It's a bit dark and dramatic, but acted quite good, and the side plot is making the drama a bit happier. Other than that, To The Beautiful You is somewhat of an sometimes awkward funny feel good drama, which isn't actually all that hard to get into. At least in my opinion.

Friend left a song from it open on my computer, so I looked it up and was hooked.

You won't be disappointed, City Hunter was one of my favorites, and most of my friends who don't like Kpop or Kdramas loved it! Faith is the only thing I'm watching right now, after To The Beautiful You finished up, tried to get into Reply 1997, but I can't seem to break into it, everyone and their mothers have been telling me that it's so worth it, not sure, but then again I wasn't sure about Queen In Hyun's Man either. Nice Guy/Innocent Man and Ariang are also on my list, any other recommendations?

Dropped it at episode 1. Arang has shin min ah so I might watch that but medieval dramas are so meh. Plot of To the Beautiful You is fucking retarded so I didn't watch that either, but I highly recommend Reply 1997. First couple episodes aren't that captivating but after 5 it sucks you in so much. Might be too early but it has my nomination for best drama of the year.

Honourable mention to Bridal Mask for the fights and interesting setting. Haven't finished it yet and it has some major flaws, but I'm enjoying it. Also: ![]()

Very hard to screw that up. If you watch this first, your expectations of kdramas might be a bit too high and you might get depressed. Reply 1997 was more than just a simple story thats hard to screw up. The only drama that even comes close to its writing in terms of experimenting with chronology is Soulmates (another excellent drama). Reply 1997 might have been a simple story but the execution was definitely not. It was also very reserved in its many reveals and avoided the dramatic histrionics of many of its peers. Which is why I avoid melodramas for the most part, even if they are addicting. It's cheap.

I don't really like the male lead in Nice Guy that much either but the rest of the cast more than makes up for it. Lee Kwang Soo's moments + Moon Chae Won are plenty enough. Ghost and Reply 1997 are really the only dramas that have stood out to me for the past few months.

I don't see how you guys can hate Joongki. You must not watch running man. There have been a few dramas that I couldn't finish because I felt like they just dragged too much. Among those are Gentleman's Dignity and now I'm starting to feel it in Bridal Mask too. It starts off really good but I just don't care how it ends and end up dropping the drama. I had 2 episodes left on GD and I think 3 left on BM and I'm not sure if I will finish it now. There are others that I can't remember off the top of my head but a lot of these dramas could cut some episodes.
