There will ALWAYS be glaring plot holes in time travel no matter what lol, the best they can do is quickly and succinctly explain their take on so that it's simplified and made obvious to the audience what their interpretation is etc >< | ||

The reason why Future Lucy wanted Present Lucy to show her her mark is because Future Lucy lost her right hand/arm (and consequently the guild mark). Edit: May be slightly presumptuous to say that she lost it. Perhaps it's just super fucked up.
