I loved Pierce. He was the best character in Season 2, imo. Abed I'm a little sick of, and I've never really liked Shirley although I understand the role she plays in the group.
We need some good Annie episodes. Britta has been absolutely unbelievable this season and, acted to perfection if I might say.

Shirley seems comparatively weaker as a character when she is doing this transitions from Badass to innocent little protestant like in the last episode. Pierce picked up some amount of slack in that respect. I think Shirley may just be a bit over tasked.

The 2nd DnD episode seemed to be more have more DnD elements and was well done. The emotional pay off at the end wasn't as great as Fat Neil's story, but it was still an enjoyable adventure. Hector the Well Endowed became even more "well endowed" and the Dean could role play his obsession with Jeff.

The Dean made that episode, it was ok and had its moments but wasn't on par with the first one. I did like the little nerd off between David Cross and Abed though.

The second episode will always be compared to the first; similar to Modern Warfare and A Fistful of Paintball's.
I really liked the episode. I thought it was quintessentially Community without reinventing the wheel. It was funny without calling attention to itself; which is as impossible as it sounds, when you consider the show's self awareness, it's referential nature, and Abed's declaration within the first few minutes. Genius television IMO.
Thomas, you should definitely check out Rick and Morty if you haven't already. Created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland- and when you've watched all the episodes in one sitting, go check out Dan Harmon's recent interview- it gives so much insight into both shows.

I've taken a peek at it, Adult Swim's streaming sucks, so I'll have to check on Hulu but it is definitely funny. I just can't watch it with RealPlayer quality *buffering* [Giant squares of amorphous colors] @___@.

That's odd, it works really well for me. But ya, definitely give it a watch.

GI Joe episode was ok. I'm not old enough to have watched 80's cartoons so I didn't have any connection and was just vaguely familiar with the tropes like always missing, bad dubbing and lesson at the end. Still it was a funny episode even if it was a big WTF? since they don't explain why it's a GI Joe until later and even then it's a bit weird.
Tonight will be the first part of the season finale. This season has been short, but a nice return to form with Harmon back. Seems like they missed out on exploring what it's like for Jeff to be a teacher only briefly touching on it during the start. I'm guessing we'll return to that a little bit in the finale episodes as well as the lawsuit.

I feel like that was the case for a lot of people, you should go back and dabble some, because so many 80s cartoons were so terrible they were good.
Or at least check out the GI Joe PSAs.

Dan Harmon originally wanted to expand the series so that it won't have to be focused on Greendale College but rather the entire town but his flow got disrupted by the change in director @ season 4 so we never really exactly got to see his vision to be fulfill.
Season 1, 2 and 3 were the SMARTEST, more intricate, and well-written script I've ever saw coming to life but unfortunately, Harmon just couldn't get the show's spark back on with the departure of many key characters and honestly the cast's acting ability have been falling off a bit (apart from Jeff, Britta, and the principal).

realistically yeah, I think this is a good time to end the show. Story took a deep dive, casting line up was falling apart... But god damn it, its still one of the best show out there. I mean 30 Rocks had its up and down too but it still made it.
Rick and Morty season 2 better be fucking awesome so i could forget about all this.
for those who are depressed and feeling upset: + Show Spoiler +
