![]() But back to the topic, I've listened to melodic trance/trance/Progressive House for about ~9 years now but kinda lost interest to the new stuff around 2004/2005 when trance and progressive house got more and more cliched and generic. I have always loved the 88-2000 trance and still trying to get hold of all the really old releases ![]() Heres some my favourite labels at the moment and all time, cba to list all the artists because theres like a million of them: Mistiquemusic Silk Digital Recordings Unreleased Digital Bpitch Control Border Community Platipus - My favourite label of all time, every single release is pure gold (A little trivia, Robert Miles - Children was first released on this label ![]() Northern Exposure Bedrock Renaissance Baroque Limbo Records - Old Progressive house #1 label Electric Sauna Records (amazing finnish trance) Monster tunes Soma Fragrant Records j00f But here's some of my recent founds and a few classic trance tunes that all you Tranceheads should know ![]() Samarkande - Feenstaub - Original Mix, "old" by now but still banging to this one and the whole EP + Show Spoiler + The Timewriter - Is This Life - Original Mix, spotted this artist a few days ago and this is my favourite from him so far. + Show Spoiler + Yousef - Come Home (Sasha's Matterhorn Remix), Sasha has always been a master of progressive athmospheric sounds. Too bad that this is still unreleased and theres only this live recording of this tune. + Show Spoiler + And a few trance/progressive house classics that all you should know ![]() Deepsky - Stargazer - Original Mix, driving trance classic with an outstanding melody + Show Spoiler + Cosmicman - I Love You - Original Mix, in my top3 tunes of all time easily + Show Spoiler + Way Out West - Domination - Original Mix, 90s dominative progressive house masters, all their albums and countless remixes are worth checking out. My pick for the best tune from their Way Out West - Way Out West album + Show Spoiler + | ||

always nice to listen to some different stuff and expand my horizons. at the german guy: what's wrong with Noisia - Exodus? a full on blast of filling bass and enough complexity to keep me interested. I would like to hear what you think is better. decaf: YES universal religion is awesome. someone out there forgot name too lazy to check: I'm surprised Way Out West doesn't get more popular recognition since their music is amazing and not as "repetitive" as conventional trance/house. was just listening to intensify today and damn that is a good solid album. some stuff I've listened to lately: ![]() I gotta say this is pretty good. Very nice house with enough kick/bass to my liking and enough flashy stuff to balance it out. Armin BBC radio1 essential mix 30-05-2009 I know it's a best of mix but still, it's pretty damn good. I'm never bored. ![]() Bonobo has really impressed me with constant high quality stuff. I was very very reluctant to dive into this album since he has set the bar so high. Am I being a little too fanboyish when I say he has perhaps nudged the bar just a nanometer higher with this album? ![]() I don't know what it is exactly, but something just makes this compilation the one for me when all the previous volumes have been very solid material. Beautiful stuff. Other stuff I just started listening to is Venetian Snares that I got 3 albums of, then some Enduser which is quite alright, giving Aphex Twin another try but it's always been too glitchy and tweaky for my liking and not enough UMF. Glad to see this thread is still alive. Keep it going!
