Some ideas we have had was alesso- the calling, Madeon-Icarus, armin van bureen- make some noise, tiesto maximal crazy. We open to anything while we are mainly into progressive we do listen to trance, drum n bass and dubstep as well
If you're looking for progressive I would suggest: Basic Perspective - Small Step On The Other Side
Something more housey and uplifting: Jose Zamora & Damian DP - Transatlantic (Andy Moor Remix)
Emotional and powerful: Andy Blueman - Sea Tides (Energetic Remix)

Hey guys, been listening to EDM for quite a while but I feel like I've only scratched the surface. If I had to say what artists I'd listen to I'd say it'd be like me listening to the mainstream faces of EDM, I'm mainly into house and I'm looking for more songs that you guys think would be a good fit or would be similar, as my playlist is pretty small right now. Personally, I really like mellow and upbeat songs, such as Kaskade - Eyes, Tim Berg - Seek Bromance, Hide and Seek (Otto Knows Remix), Dune - Heiress of Valentina (Alesso Remix). Lately I've been listening to Madeon alot, since some of his style reminds me of Daft Punk when I used to listen to them back in the days.
If any of you guys have ideas it would be appreciated

If your looking for some more mainstream Stuff that has a good mix of upbeat and mellow I would suggest checking out avicii (aka Tim berg if u didn't know) most of his stuff is easy on the ears for people just getting into house. Some other guys I would check out would be - arty, tommy trash, Nicky Romero, dirty south.
For those looking for some good music during the weekend : the festival Tomorrowland will be live broadcasting a mix of interviews and live shows on youtube. Even though the lineup is lacking a bit this year, this should still be a great show. www.youtube.com/tomorrowland July 27-28-29th from 7pm till 2am CEST.

Though I am no professional at EDM, I have been in a nu-disco / funk / electropop phase recently and my favorite producer of the last 4 or so years has been Robotaki. I have watched him go from a simple Kongregate music contest winner (a portal that has become similar to Newgrounds music) to a K-Pop remixer, to a remix contest winner having some of his songs included on published artists' remix albums. His first commercial release was his remix of Kavinsky's "Nightcall," the original appearing in the movie Drive. He is working on his first EP and I can't recommend the guy strongly enough. I can go on Pandora and listen to Daft Punk radio and it doesn't come close to the stuff this guy is pushing. Without further ado, I present to you, Robotaki's soundcloud.
And this wouldn't be a proper post on TL if I talked about an EDM producer/remixer who remixed K-Pop without mentioning one of these remixes. So here you go.
i'm fucking pissed the dj hell gig that was supposed to be a couple hundred meters away from my place on saturday was canceled. still, i'll get to see good ole dj harvey in his stead so i guess things are kind of ok.
doesn't look like folks in this thread listen to a lot of (if any) techno but here's what kind of music i've been bumping lately with the whole dystopic industrial techno thing being a sort of a fad in 2012:
uner - pallene for something a bit (tech-)housier + Show Spoiler +
