All majors are pretty overrated in that context, if you see the grand picture. All the top scorers there are already eliminated

The problem with TI is a huge part comes down to some luck whether the team fit the current meta, both hero picks and playstyles.

Almost all the times, the meta evolves/changes at the TI main stage. I think its wrong to call it a luck as teams that adapt the best to the evolving meta win on the main stage,
OG showed last year, that being ahead of the curve is where it is at. Following a meta is a trap.

OG fans are fans of OG, because they understand Dota... and the power of friendship, fighting adversity etc.

Power of friendship is peaking after Fly dumped notail and the squad? That's not what I call power of friendship, it's power of despair and sorrow.

It's cause all the top scores didn't take a real break after TI8 like any rational person would.

Liquid and OG in the grand finals and both of them took a break.
I remember the good times, when you could watch your favourite teams playing on a weekly basis.

Those times are over. Now we got some dude in the grand finals who was chilling on a boat for half the fucking season while his team was playing with a stand in. I'm sure plenty of players will start taking breaks for half the season now since Ana did it.

I like this segment to be honest. I now realize just how long Dota2 has been around.

Honestly, at this point i am of opinion that LGD's main flaw is lack of proper leadership and i don't mean shotcalling.

Those that remained showed they still believed in those same values that OG was beset on. Looking at it, it is the same values that everyone tries to mimic.

Same. Or I was, at the very least, hoping to see a rematch of last year's finals.

LGD shat the bed big time. Horrible drafts/play in the last two games.

I expect OG to win this easily 3-1....

Well, some people were whining about t2 players and teams not getting a chance. Now with tier 1 players taking a vacation in first half of the season, it's their shot at fame and money! I don't envy TOs though, that will be heavy load to carry.

What is this segment right now? The talent reminiscing about past TIs? And there's no announcement today? I was expecting something big and all we get is a repeat of Snapfire and Void Spirit trailers? That's really disappointing.

Should have done the all-star match or something similar now.

Or announce TI10 location.

Or show an Underlords trailer and announce a release date.

Or tell us more about the Outlanders update.

Or anything at all.

Instead we are watching random clips from old TIs?? What the hell...

they're gonna wanna do the big announcements at peak viewership

this segments fine imo. gives people time to eat or w/e.

Most of the time there's no guarantee that you can get a good spot back.

Even in OG's case they've said that Ana coming back wasn't a sure thing and they did really try their best with the replacements. And it just turned out that Ana wanted to play and they weren't exactly winning events with iLTW so it was a pretty easy choice. But if they were constantly competing for titles with some other player not sure where Ana would be now

Yeah, I blame ValvE and the vast money floating upwards, killing minor tournaments.

When did we have the 10v10 all-star match? I remember having stayed up all night to watch that game, and it was so worth it, if nothing else for the casting.

TI10 location. Underlords release date announcement. More stuff about the Outanders update. Remember how incredibly hype the 7.00 announcement at TI7 was? Something at least approaching that would be great.

You guys haven't noticed how new players in the pro scene are introduced? Kuro was once the hard carry in his team, what happens in dota is that the older and more experienced you get, the lower you go, so position 1/2 > 3 > 4 > 5 along the years and then sometimes they turn into a coach and then a new pos 1/2 enters the team.
So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie
