I would have thought LGD would have sacked their coach after last year, considering his perception of strategy was winning lanes.

I think LGD(and VG this year) just failed to play to win this year and last year.

They had the skill and momentum. They just failed to perform at optimal level when needed.

Somehow xNova's interview feels heavier than Fade's. I guess the higher the stakes, the higher the emotions.

i would actually be so much more upset if i were xnova given how lgd lost the games. LGD lost in a worse way

He was, i am sensitive to this kind of emotion.

Yo guys, I have no idea about the Dota scene. How come LGD (a chinese team right?) is sponsored by PSG?

It's pretty common for Chinese teams to be sponsored by Qatari organisations based in Paris.

buh bye china. best possible finals you could ask for.

i like LGD vs OG more

the next finals may end up as one-sided series with how much momentum each team has

One team will get destroyed and fans will cry blood.

What's not to like, honestly.

I like a much more even series . I got spoiled by last years finals.

I prefer blood. LGD could have made to GF and fall an easy prey to OG.
Now it is truly even, where each side can bleed. Liquid can do it all the way through.

OG should fell scared.

As someone who doesn't watch Dota outside of TI anymore it seems like there's tons of new players to me.

The only players new to scene at this TI would be part of Catburger stack and few other individual players on some teams, totalling something like 5 to 8. Out of 90 players.

EDIT: fixing it.

wings were pretty special in that regard. relating them to chinese dota feels weird to this point. They were by no means, playing methodical dota. Their picks were unconventional 90% of the time, They had 1000 different draft combinations up their arsenal and way better team synergy than any of the team in that year. I don't see any of that same quality in any of the current chinese teams.

Fuck dota honestly. In any case. Anything but OG. I don't even feel like caring enough to watch the game now.

This upcoming Final got to be the most wholesome one TI ever had. Two teams mostly fueled by positive motivation and comradship led by two legends who are close friends and respect the hell out of each other.

Not only will thie series result in the first two times TI champions but also probably answer the question who the GOAT of Dota is. Just remains to be seen if it will be the Danish flower or the German garbage man.

Because OG broke the cycle and did beat the better team at TI8, we're surprised this was a down year for China. But it's really just the Cycle with the OG Caveat.

I only brought up wings because your point was that chinese dota didn't win because they didn't have old players on their best teams for TI. Which Wings also didn't have but they won.

Regardless if Wings won in an unconventional way they still count as chinese and no-old players. Which is the whole point of your statement.

Unless you are arguing about something else then open with a completely different statement lol

Too much barrier of entry for new players. The gap in knowledge between tier1 players and the rest is too huge for such a deep game. No teams are willing to pick up and train new players unless they show exceptional skills in pubs. Well unless tier1 players start retiring and decide to coach new teams.
