Today we have comeback mechanics and while they've changed over time (from huge gold bounties for any gank to huge gold bounties for high level heroes like cores) LFY proved that the system can actually work and you can indeed turn it around. TI4 gave the "why can I surrender from pubs" crowd ammunition. The last game countered them. No, you can out-play a miserable start. The reason TI4 finals sucked were because it was a push strat getting rolled early on 3 games in a row. They would play out exactly like this even in the very next patch which had the strongest comeback mechanic in history of Dota.

With a tourney before TI to showcae the power of push in the same patch TI4 could have been great.

So NB need to utterly change their draft to stand a chance.

1. VG knocked out DK, From Western pov, probably the most beloved Chinese team of all time 2. VG knocked out EG , the new NA hope. This was during Rtz's massive rise. 3. VG then proceeded to use the same strategy n the Grand Final despite failing over and over. No innovation , no metagaming, feels like they settled. Maybe the patch didn't allow it but felt like they didn't even try.
