Top3 TI: 2x 1st Seed + 1x 2nd Seed from Groups Top4 TI: 2x 1st Seed + 2x 2nd Seed from Groups Top6 TI: 2x 1st Seed + 2x 2nd Seed from Groups + 1x 3rd Seed + 1x 4th Seed So the Top 6 is taken completly by the teams who finished top8 in groups and ended up in upper bracket. Only EG and TNC choking out of it (both out in the round for top9th-12th) while OG and Empire are the only 2 teams that managed to get a top8 finisher, both on 7th and 8th, from the lower half of the groups. So much for all that "groupstage doesn't matter" Had Liquid not managed to finish top4 in groups they wouldn't be where they are today. The first game vs iG was a pure choke from them, both drafting wise as well as from a players perspective with noone showing up and I'd assume that had it been a bo7 that day Liquid wouldn't have taken a single game from iG either. Nerves got to them or whatever else.

But then LFY vs. Newbee for the final could be a Newbee 3-0 stomp if LFY can't switch gears fast enough. Liquid and Newbee don't play at all the same game, and that's going to be rough on LFY: I think they almost certainly lose the first game. But I think LFY's really good, and so think the final will go to five games if LFY don't just tilt out after the loss. (If Liquid plays Newbee in the final, I have no idea what would happen.)
