It's EG vs Ehome in the bottom of the 2 Upper Bracket of TI again. Both won 2-0.
Let's hope we can get another EG in the Upper Finals. (And maybe EG can win one this time.)

your argument is counter-intuitive - if EG wins despite dropping in solo MMR over time, that shows that MMR doesn't actually prove much

I don't think so. I remember when VP threw the "biggest game ever" or when DK threw at TI4 against LGD, they were behind 25K gold with better late game. That kind of scenario happen way more often now, and not always with Alch.
I enjoy watching old games and it's quite funny seeing casters lose their shit when a kill nets a 1k gold bounty.
