TI6 invites have to be given to the major winners and well Secret have one of those so im pretty sure they are 100% safe. DC can get the invite instead of secret. There are technically major winners on that team. Secret have more but it doesn't matter, EG could have changed its entire roster, lost every single game up until today and still get the TI6 invite, only way they lose theirs is if they change their squad now during roster locks. OG - Secret - ManilaWinner - EG are confirmed for TI6 unless Valve go completely silly, or what is point in the majors after all EG is a proper team. TS is a bunch of clowns. Whilst they might be, still done more than most this "season" in winning a major thing which valve obviously will rank higher than an ESL or WCS crap tournament as examples. Anyway i think they still are find for invites, will they through their invite away with another roster shuffle that is more of a possibility with Secret over EG for example but only time will tell. Honestly, it would be even better if they got an invite. Imagine all the pain and disgust. Casters confusion. Epic intros. Back under your bridge lol...

Sooo.... just checked the VOD... that "Battleview" needs be taken out back and shot ASAP. Who's idea was that? The HP bars on separate sides of the screen, really?... Maybe I'm just old and grumpy

Newbee got an invite after crushing for 3/4 months and then flailing about uselessly afterwards, there is no precedent for it beause that year didn't have majors. Newbee also kept 3/5th of their players that year just like EG.
i'd imagine they'd still invite EG.

i'd imagine they'd still invite EG. Makes sense, as viewership is an important factor for eSports.

Secret should just kick EE, and get a more active carry that has better decision making. EE is not bad, but he is not very good either, and I can't see these players synergize. EE pick never made sense to me, outside he is a harder worker than XBOCT.
Furthermore him "Saying how it is", without reluctance is not gonna give a very good atmosphere in most teams.

30%? I think they won 1 out of 10 bo3 they played so far. I'm sure they only won against ehome, but not sure how many they played in total

More than Tier 1 sounds awesome. Too bad it isn't enough. TS are utterly disgusting bad not only as a team, but individually too. Only pld is decent. that's 1 for 5.

Yea secret not functioning exactly due to what I predicted when they were fkrmed. Xd

Secret deserved this. Completely unprofessional the way they treated w33 and Misery.
EG also out, they kind of got screwed by Secret as well. I guess this is a bit of karma of what they did to Aui

Lets be honest.. Empire had a solid draft and played great dotes today! Well deserved imo...
Back to the drawing board Secret.

The main problem with the hypothetical "invite all major winners + last year's TI winner to TI" compared to the "invite last year's TI winner" model is that it's possible you end up using four slots of your sixteen slots on teams that are going to be terrible for the last 6 months, rather than one. That just sucks from a competitive integrity standpoint.
It would make sense to do that in a formal qualification system-but in a formal qualification system you might not keep your qualification if you lose 40% of your team.

But you're right about them only winning one match.

Well if you are going to rest on your laurels you deserve to be punished. Hopefully valve recognize that. Maybe even add a condition that you have to retain the original squad that won the major to receive a TI invite.

I feel that Disruptor is Team Secrets kryptonite... Wish they would just first ban it.

That commitment to kill the solo support riki at the end, a ravage and a bkb.
Not sure if miscommunication or if they're just tired of it all.

bone7 & zai said on stream that secret drafted bad even on scrims

Not sure if miscommunication or if they're just tired of it all. And then they also didn't follow up with taking Rosh, while assembling no objectives of their own.

i'd imagine they'd still invite EG. Well, China didnt play all that many tournaments, and Valve has always intended to pick a lot of Chinese teams, so it feel somewhat different.
That said, I don't think EG has been poor enough, but I do feel regardless, and also for their own sake, that they start to play more tournaments.

Can't recall the situation exactly but their smoke popped, not sure if they could have thought there is someone else close by too. But popping bkb isn't very surprising if you are expecting a sand king to come your way.

You talk like winning a major is some no-talent giveaway. Winning a Major is as good as winning a TI in terms of competition and skill-required. So if you get to be invited for a competion one year ago... how is the same logic forgotten for competitions 3,6 and 9 months ago?
