It seems getting pure attack speed when drow already has good attack speed once she hits 6 doesn't make sense. Sure you can get more lightning procs (though I hear it's bugged so that's less useful anyway) but it seems getting MoM or Mjollnor plus a crit would achieve greater DPS. I'm assuming mjollnir to farm faster, mom for da lifesteals and deeps. honestly tho if you're EE you can get whatever the fuck items you want

So basically get it when you can push back participating in fights until Radiance + 5 or 10 minutes. It's a bit similar to Battlefury; you get your Battlefury so you can farm effectively and come out of the jungle with Treads, Battlefury and one or two other big items at Battlefury +10. The problem with comparing radiance to battlefury is that AM is mostly based on flash farming and split pushing, and battlefury helps with both. Radiance helps with farm and split pushing but it is not required on doom to be relevant. You can skip radiance and get armor or damage or initiation items on doom and still be a threat, but AM needs to accelerate farm somehow in order to get items to be relevant. On February 21 2014 08:23 idonthinksobro wrote: Last game i was playing against a kotl / lancer combo and i had free farm i figured midas into radiance might not be the worst idea on doom. I got radiance and what happend was i still needed another 2 items to be a mild threat to pl. So when is it a good idea to pick up a radiance on doom? I felt like if i my team wasn't doing such a good job i would have been completly useless. You want to get radiance if you know you won't be needing to fight within the first 25 minutes or so. As long as your team can defend towers with 4, you can get radiance. Otherwise you'll be down in towers and farm and the other carries will likely be a lot fatter and more useful. In most cases getting a blink or shadowblade would be more effective in shutting down PL, just gank him with a couple of your supports (make sure they have detection)

It's simply not good enough to say "my team can hold towers with 4 so I can get Radiance" because they have a PL on the other team. If you and PL are both playing 1v0 while your teams play 4v4, unless your team wins the game 4v4 without you, you're going to lose because PL coming out of the jungle with a bunch of items is stronger than Doom doing the same.

Yeah you're right. I was trying to be more general than the question called for. @idonthinksobro generally being able to analyze the enemy carries farm, potential to farm and late game potential against yours is how you should be making item choices.

That, + Blink Dagger, and some sort of mana-boosting items, and you're good to go. And yes usually he plays at middle lane, this in case your laning matchup will be also a melee hero.

You will be happy. Arcanes-blink, sometimes bottle. Then it depends on how game goes, but scepter after huge upgrade for Pandas and cd reduction is ridiculously good. Force staff, bkb, euls, ghost scepter, shivas, heart of tarrasque, even cuirass or some damage items like mkb are good. If you sure in your power you can go even farming Panda on #1 position, get pt/armlet/dagger and be like Slardar with way more fun. You rarely care a lot about ranges as Panda. Probably some dudes like Drow or Bone Fletcher can be annoying but you always can get point in W and RNG karma to succeed.
