Quoted for truth. and because its the best simplest "truthest" answer to so many questions concerning dota. especially in these new frightening times in our history as dota players. it also gave me great pleasure.

I quite disagree, the world is full of assholes and noobs. Saying that its only about perception is just plain wrong.

yes, but most of the people QQing are probably also assholes and/or noobs

Does Duel stop Abbadon ult from triggering?

That page also says it doesn't prevent the trigger. Sourcing your information from the dota2 wiki is not a good idea.
Abaddon's ultimate will trigger during duel if you drop below 400.

What are some good high impact supports to play in Ranked? So far, I noticed Rubick and CM (if your team is sturdy) are pretty good. Should I be looking for supports with reliable and hard cc? I noticed Venomancer was pretty disappointing unless you dominate your lane.
|
venomancer is hardly disappointing even with a bad start. hes one of the few supports who can farm jungle from very early, and with some decent lvls and items he is very annoying to play against. alchemist is also great at support. very strong stun, acid for minus armour and defending towers, can make a good transition into mid/late game
|
veno is really really good :D earthshaker if there's a bunching enemy composition and if you have a ranged carry lich is good for winning lanes, bane is good if you need good lock down
|
I love Veno and I think he is amazing, but I don't think he's the best for solo pubs as the sole support. It seems like stuns are a lot better than Gale (although Gale is godlike in lane) because you need items and levels for his ult to be good and to poison people down. I still love choosing Veno when laning with a friend, but I'm specifically looking for solo RMM supports. Unless I'm missing something with Veno, I don't think he can hold his own too well outside the laning stage.
|
you probably spend too much time wandering around or babysitting people leading to you being underfarmed later. if you dont think youre going to accomplish much in the laning phase, just do pulls and jungle on your own. gank when you have no creeps to kill or time to spare and participate in whatever fights you can. you should be able to get an aghanims at 25-30mins assuming you dont die too much and you are buying wards etc. i still recommend alchemist, hes insane as a support if you have any other hero with kill potential. windrunner is also good as a support if you are confident with your shackles. hes better at offlane because if you miss your shackles you still have other items which make you relevant to fights, but as a support you are nothing without your shackles. hes great in the lane as a babysitter, can gank with a set up stun/slow, does decent damage at huge range and has an escape. hero is built for support imo

Veno is a good solo queue support. You just have to find experience and gold very opportunity you can outside of warding protecting lanes and in between roaming. If youre with a friend you'll get more gold and experience from kills but solo you have to look for scraps of creeps in random unattended lanes.

Remember also that Veno becomes extremely efficient at solo-farming Ancients around level 5-7. Given how neglected Ancients are as a source of farm in pub games, you should take advantage of this. You can gain levels very quickly farming Ancients as Venomancer.

I found visage, disruptor and lich to always be helpful no matter the lineup. Though with lich, it helps if there is another support with a good multi-stun to set up your ult. Venom is actually really good beyond the laning phase because of his versatility. His wards + gale make him good for pushing and defending. His wards are also good for killing ancients and rosh early. And his ult with gale dish out so much damage overtime in teamfights (agh's is a must-have). I actually wouldn't be surprised if he was nerfed a bit in the next patch just because of how strong he is right now.

Hes already gotten a little of a nerf but hes probably gonna get hit harder next patch

With early farming ancients, how would you skill Veno? Do you need to max wards, or can you do it with just a single point in Plague Wards?
|
pretty sure he is implying you skill 1-1-3, otherwise i think your wards die in like 2 hits and you cant really farm the ancients.
|
You need rank 3 wards. Depending on your skill order this can happen at any point between level 5-7 (it's common for Veno to skip ult at 6 if he doesn't have a mana item yet).
|
You skill wards first with 1 poison touch and one gale if it looks like someone might try to interrupt. If not just go wards and poison and get gale at 6
|
how do passive bashes stack? like lets say troll has 10% chance to bash naturally and you get mkb with 35% chance, what happens then? and what happens if say someone has mkb and basher?
