Any hero good at pushing (ie good creep clearing) should arguably be fit for either role. Or is because one hero has good creep clearing coupled with escape or solo capabilities and another one is better in a defensive set-up? Pushing -> Furion, Chen, Enchantress Anti-push ->KotL Pushing with neutrals that can help kill the wave faster AND tank tower hits so your push lasts longer, does more damage. Just because KotL can illuminate the wave doesn't mean he helps with the push much. KotL has spammable AoE that can also damage heroes and force them to decide against a push. There are some heroes that can push and anti-push, like pugna, so pushing and anti-push aren't mutually exclusive.
Hey that made sense to me, thanks for the answer!

Creep clearing is needed for both roles. But anti-pushers need things to get someone off a tower, and pushers need things to do damage to a tower. So anti-pushers want a lot more focus on aoe damage to clear bigger creep waves and to damage enemies, while a pusher would focus on extra creeps or auras (and a little aoe damage) to inflict a lot of tower damage. The line is often blurry. Beastmaster is a good example of both because his aura is great to push towers, and his axes are great to clear waves. And as mizU said, you'll have heroes that clearly favor one side or the other because someone like KotL doesn't really help take a tower down (well...Recall is good for split pushing, but that's more geared toward late game), while someone like Chen can't really take you off the tower either.

Also, for an antipusher, AoE clear isn't good enough. It has to be AoE clear at long range. So panda, although he has AoE damage, isn't a good antipusher, but he is a sort of decent pusher (the AoE clear is still useful for pushing.
So both pushers and antipushers want AoE damage, but antipushers want it at long range, and pushers like other things like auras.

I saw a summoned creep of Necronomicon was somehow controled by opponent's player. The summoned warrior was attacking the summoner's own tower, and the tower's hp was clearly above denying range so it should not be a miss-click. How this could be done?
The game was in today's Ti3, + Show Spoiler +Tongfu vs Orange, game 2, 32:30 in game time
Edit: Ah, it's by Helm of the Dominator.

Two questions
1) what is taking valve so long with these unreleased hereos? Techies and earth spirit look really cool
2) when a team plays a jungler like lycanthrope, how does that affect the lanes? Because it seems most compositions have a tri-lane top to help baby sit the carry.

There are many ways to react to it : agressive trilane, also picking a jungler, warding the ennemy jungle to force the ennemy's one to come into yours, It usually simply results in a 2 1 1 laning phase with one in the jungle. Sidenote : lycan is an awful jungler, SK/naix level of jungling.

How I stack west hard camp on dire 4 times? It's just impossibly hard. I'm not sure which way to pull.

1. Making them cool.
2. Depends I think. There's solo offlaners that can go jungle when up against a strong trilane, which means an empty lane. Chen and Enchantress can be part of trilanes, popping in and out of jungle with creeps. Most of the time though, having a jungler means you're going to be way more defensive in lane as you're outnumbered but gaining more Gold/ EXP.

I think eat a tree at the lane side of the camp and pull it that way since the " creep detection box" is smallest there.

I'd like to ask if anyone has a link to a replay or guide to the opening minutes of a Nature's Prophet jungling normally. According to many forums everyone and their grandma can do a 6 minute Midas. I checked some videos on youtube and the makers were more interested in speedrunning than actually teaching.

Nature's prophet easy to jungle early start with your tree and micro them. Like tha you could be able to keep a lot of them alive. I hop i answer your question but i don't have a replay to give you Keep in mind that micro the tree is the most important
|
micro the trees: - stay in base and summon the frist set trees from there, so you regen the mana when you walk into jungle - pull out trees with lower life and let healthy trees tank - use attack-command on your own trees to drop the creep-aggro and make them attack other targets - eventually tank with hero to use even very low life trees

micro your treants so that they last longer gank with tp, autoattack does a lot of damage early on when people have limited regen

When do you not want to upgrade your Ring of Basilius into a Ring of Aquilia when playing heroes like Gyro, Luna, Weaver, ect.?

Is it worth leaving a single creep alive in the enemy jungle camps to deny some farm at the expense of your own? Such as the small wildkin, small satyr etc.

Do the teams communicate through something like Skype in the booth?

When watching a pro game in progress is there a way to see what the hero bans were?
