Their team fight is still top-tier. This is especially apparent in their wonkier drafts, where they can eek out triumphs despite lacking stuns and AoE damage.

The biggest issue seems to be they haven't figured out which cores their supports should prioritize assisting in the early game and how to construct their drafts outside of winning lanes. Ramzes is playing so loose and reckless in the laning stage he often feeds with overly aggressive dives. No[O]ne is all but abandoned in mid; the supports are oscillating between playing greedy and harassing enemy carries, so rotations are non-existent. Pasha being put on these pseudo-initiators/DPS heroes that aren't true semi-carries and can't front-line for the other two carries.

God damit VP. All you had to do is win your group so you won't have to face Liquid until the UB Finals. And then again in the grand finals for awesome games.
Those drafts will bite you in the main event so please take it seriously, i really want VP vs Liquid finals. The fans deserve the show.

They didn't play terrible, but the thing that puzzles me is how they seem to always lose their drafts and lanes. Their teamplay in mid game is still excelent, but they were known for their dominating lanes and drafts. Maybe lower bracket will do them good and help them grasp meta, they will have easier run in LB. Also VP always seem to play their worst against LGD.

Even with this play they are top 5/6, maybe even top 4 material, they just don't seem like a grand final team that they looked like before TI8.

I took the day off of work tomorrow so I can stay up watching bo1s tonight. Plus now I can watch them butcher Mineski tomorrow.

I believe lower bracket will do them good as they are playing Mineski, and prob Optic later. You can see those matches as practise matches. Hope they practise some meta there and skyrocket their way to grand finals. I'm pissed because they lost against LGD, but in their defense, LGD was worst matchup for VP all year, and they played them on their first day of TI.

Last year, liquid was in a worst spot and they won the whole event from the loser bracket.

They still can, I was just super pissed because of that play. You don't have BBs, you miss blackhole, you kill two of them, they buyback and instead of going back, you go on their drow. And that picks, expecially enigma and visage, my good that was bad. But ok, they still can do it, just play it cool. P.S. I know I am flamming too much, but I am still super salty about that game

Hoping for a lot of VP action today! They got good bracket, Optic is the best matchup for VP, and I think EG is the kind of team that is riding on a success till their first defeat, kinda like VP in their Boston major run. I hope we will see VP vs OG grand finals, Kiev memories, but that is so unluckely to happen. Best of luck!

No it isn't. There's no such things as prophecies or curses. Those are what we would call superstitions.

Solo even said when LGD beat them that they weren't comfortable with the TI meta. A lot of the big heroes they picked over the season like Beastmaster or Sand King aren't very good right now. They were able to fight the good fight and force their way back to top 6, but it didn't look completely pretty.

It's already been announced that the team is sticking around for the next season though. Looking forward to seeing them back again.
