So you are assuming that X player cant play Y position because... reasons ? you dont know, i dont know not even his mother know how would Dendi play if he goes offlane
theres something called "benefit of the doubt", untill he doesnt do it (on a regular basis, because if we go for the 1 game example than even Fly its one of the best offlaners in the world, and we all know how that turned out) you cant be sure about it

but based on the current situation i would favor zai cause same can be said that i'd rather have 5 burning on every position in a team.
Also just an assumption dendi may play be on a playmaking role but he farms alot more than he fights as a mid player. From what i've seen he is the type of player that excels with farm, not the type who can make do of whatever farm he's got. So i don't think he will do well when he switches to offlane. Similar to singsing or qojqva.

RTZ plays mid lane but he is not a mid laner, he is just a safe laner playing mid. HOLD YOUR HORSES. I mean, he is Xboct or Black playing their heroes on the mid lane. Same situation, s4 is not a safe laner, he is a mid laner playing safe lane. You can see it in their eyes. Have you ever seen dendi offlane ?

RTZ is no mid laner, he is a safe laner playing mid. HOLD YOUR HORSES! He is Xboct or Black playing their heroes in mid. Same situation, s4 is no safe laner, he is a mid laner playing safe lane. You can see it in their eyes. You can put RTZ on safe lane and I am sure he can perform as well as he does mid, because his play style is one of a safe lane.

Yes who could possibly debate this.
I must say I respect the man, even if I hate him 'cause he was the reason of NaVi losing TI3. I feel he is just an allrounder, he is not the type who does EVERYTHING better than anyone but instead he can do almost ANYTHING at an incredibly impressive good level.
NOTE: I am still waiting on those statistics about how many times was Dendi ganked in early game in comparison with other midlaners and how much impact such ganks had in last hitting, item progression and other aspects of his performance. Hope any poor soul with enough time and resources can achieve it.
Just lol at the last few comments and the compersation of players. Zai/RTZ are on a higher level at the moment and far better then the pairs you want to compare them ..
I like how s4 went from 'mediocre laner who can't play the farming heroes the new meta demands' to 'easily best player in the world'.
It's not like I even think it's particularly wrong, the guy is a fucking beast, but having a world-class team behind you does also help in making you look good.
While vanskor MAY be getting the boot (although if na'vi can get top 4 they certainly won't change roster imo), there's like 0.0% chance demon then plays for them.
