Well, AA looked good in the qualifiers IMO...
I thought so aswell but it was mostly on Prophet. Would love to have him back in navi. Thinking about it I still have no idea why he left/was kicked. Was it because of squad harmony or his attitude towards work?

All their drafts are so focused on trends rather than their strengths. How do you even excel in playing something you're not comfortable in. If you are good, you will do well won your own style.
I think this is a ridiculous thing to say anyway. If they spent more time working they would have found their place in the current patch, even if that is exactly the style they were successful with before. Every problem with how they played, including strategy, was problematic from lack of practice.
I mean if you're a good team, why follow trends? Just play something that fits you and your style, rather than play something so unnatural and copying the brew/DP/razor/sky/fv strats.
There is no meta per se. C9 eg vici newbee's successes with very contrasting styles are proof of it.
I do agree fundamentally the problem is the lack of practice. Which is why all the more they should be sticking with what they know best, rather than play like clowns trying to execute a dp push strat.

I think navi's biggest weakness is puppy really only play 3 heroes.
all of them beeing jungle heroes
Enigma, Chen and Enchantress..
Pretty much all heroes other than that he is feeding on or have close to no impact what so ever
Chen and enchantress in this meta just dosnt fit aswell as other heroes. and the other team just started to ban enigma, then puppy had nothing left to play.
Current meta earthshaker is ridiculous, but in puppy's hands it just feels like he was out of positoning and on the frontline feeding and getting caught when he played it.
Also pretty much everyone on Navi seem'd to lack anykind map sense. Often the wards placed by navi, spots about nothing at all and im pretty sure Navi is the team that place the least wards especially early to mid game of all teams.
Saw multiply games where you have puppy farming wood with good gpm and no wards on the map, then he gets ganked 2 times and xboct get ganked 1 time and you pretty much lost the game because you had no idea whats going on.
I love puppy as a person, but he really need to step up his game BIG time or step down.

And CM And lycan
Shall I continue?
Same way you can argue that Dendi only plays puck, pudge, invoker and tinker. Even AdmiralBulldog plays good on more than 3 heroes (not only LD or NP, as some fans speculate).
Bottom line - don't hate on players, everyone have a slump from time to time. Na'Vi was a force to be reckon with for more than 3 years, even dominant for quite some periods (thats an accomplishment in it self), and more so - they did it in style.
Speaking of style. Considering amount of money at the TI4 and current facerush-friendly meta, any chance of ArtStyle coming back? Would be hilarious (obviously, no way he can join na'vi).

There are apparently rumors that he might join up with Empire.

those video's are 2 years old atleast, show me a game where puppy was the outstanding player within the last 6-12 months
Also for dendi i would say that he can impact with like 15-20 heroes but often he gets fucked over by good support from the other team and/or no support from his own
The problem its DEFINITELY not skill-wise, its more about the meta and the team play which NaVi lacks nowadays(even thought they showed a lot of improvement compared to how bad the played a few months prior to TI4)
Why changing a player could end up working out ? because synergies and to reduce the pressure that could be in the team, i dont think Navi would seek to change any of their member because they "suck", just like in many sports, changing a player or 2 can lead to a better team synergy even if both players individually arent better than the other 2
Not to disregard the patch meta as a factor in Na'Vi's performance but I think it pales in comparison to the disparity between how much time Na'Vi has spent practicing as a team this year and how much time every other team has.
No team is going to be able to get away with that ever again at this level of competition. They won't make it out of groups.
The manager's interview pretty much confirms there will be changes in the squad, and that they came too late. changing 1-2 players for someone excited, training hungry who will gel the team into practice is a must at this point.
Like with fnatic - they get that new excited kid and the team suddenly seemed to have new energy, new enthusiasm, new impulse. I think the guy replaced should be Funnik - he's just too quiet and doesn't fit the trolls personality wise it seems, even though his skill is stellar. Kuro brought that impulse for sure after TI2 - new language, new guy but that's wore off a bit. Having the same language team would be an advantage again in terms of ease of communication

I guess you're talking about this inteview:
ZeroGravity is not manager, he's CEO of the whole organization. Although, he used to be Na'Vi manager when they still were a simple CS team and not a multi-gaming org. I miss those times when he was standing behind their original CS team during LAN tournaments and cheer with them after good rounds or won maps.
As a note about that video, there are some mistakes in subtitles. Particularly, at one moment they are directly opposite to what he is actually saying. ZeroGravity says that "Clement is definitely a powerful captain", but subtitles show "Clement is by no means a powerful captain".
Did any of you listen to Dendi's Interview after the TI4? 45min long.
The thing about Ppy not listening to advices from Goblak is quite revealing. I guess it just kills the point of hiring a coach. It all seems like a battle of egos.

I didn't watch the interview. Is it in english?
Anyway, just because you don't take advice, doesn't mean it isn't helpful or that you won't take it next time. Otherwise, it's not advice, it's an order.
