Man these videos are so sad. Seeing mushi comforting lanm is heartbreaking

This team has shouldered too much going into TI4, everyone kept expecting them to win (opponents, fans, coach) that they probably crumbled under the pressure more than being able to withstand the pressure. In a way this is a liberation for the DK boys, sad they didn't get the end they wanted so badly and so deserved but at least from now on they can move on. I'm abit worried for mushi and iceiceice though, even if they went back to the SEA scene they wouldn't be able to gather such a star studded team again and i'm pretty sure no chinese teams would pick them up (unless iG and LGD would do some massive reshuffle that allows them to play again). Sure they may want to play again, but i foresee Newbee and VG being stable in their lineups and not reshuffling. I could see a Chuan Iceiceice Mushi + 2 working out though. On hindsight going undefeated in SL9 may have backfired for them, fans expected them to display the same amount of brilliance they showed during SL9 and that kept mounting up the pressure for them to perform. Iceiceice(or someone in DK) had stated that they weren't a team that could perform under pressure, if they had nothing on the line they would play much better. IMO if they came in without anyone expecting them to win they would have a seriously legit shot at the championship than with pressure mounting from everywhere. Video had so much feels though

LaNm is the unsung hero of this DK iteration which would be missed the most of them all. From carry to offlaner to solomid to semi-support - this guy bested up KingJ in his prime!. If he was with Newbee, iG or VG, he would have won this International and you ruined this life time opportunity for him in a hindsight, guys, the same way Kyxy ruined Mushi's TI3 dreams. It's almost same story as Chuan's, let's hope for LaNm's glorious return, too.

ROTK even failed to avenge him The only bright spot today was game one of the grand finals. VGs lineup soooo 2010 DK + it had rotk and super playing. It almost worked as a substitute for a while.

I'm holding out hope that they stick together (with or without LaNm), but I wouldn't be crushed if they went their separate ways. It's sad that finishing top 4 at TI has invalidated the year they had (even more sad that Newbee won). I really wanted to see BurNIng get his TI win and retire on top. Us DK fans will always have that 18-0 start, the 4-3 comeback, LaNm putting the team on his back at MLG, the perfect Starladder run... I will never forget all of these moments that captivated me over the last year. 2013-2014 DK will always be my favorite team, thank you BurNIng, Mushi, ice^3, LaNm, and MMY for the amazing games.

It's the third International in a row they underperform in the deciding games. There's two things in my life which I would never get over with, it's B-GOD losing as Morph to NaVi at TI2, and losing as Weaver to EG at TI4. He lost game 1 as Luna (you know, that game where they tried to play cute by copying iG and got wrecked), won game 2 as Morph, and lost game 3 as Naga (giving away Lycan Rubick and AM, lol).

The players on this team deserved much more then going out like the way they did. I want to hope they find the strength to stay another year... but if this really is the end for Burning and LaNm... I hope the best for both of them. I hope that Chinese dota find a way to dedicate something to the two of them because they deserve something for all the things they have done for DotA in general. Iuno after watching that video, all I can hope is for them to find something... Good luck Burning and LaNm.

The thing is, that retirements for certain players were "confirmed" several times now and everyone sticks to the game eventually. If they keep trying and trying, while saying "but NOW it's definetly my last year" and then still keep going it's just going to end up as a joke in my eyes, which people might even make fun of, despite the massive legacies those players have.

I honestly feel conflicted between mmy, lanm, and bgod. Mmy never really had a sucky game, lanm had those amazing momenta (tied with fy for most amazing performances on support imo) and bgod simply carried them at the times they were lackluster (never really falling off except on viper and razor). lanm or mmy. in my opinion, burning felt over the hill On July 22 2014 17:52 Talron wrote: I know I'm probably alone with this opinion, but even if DK didn't make it as champion this year, I don't want to see them give it another year.
