What if I didn't insinuate anything and these are legit my thoughts exactly, without judgement,but curiosity? What if I thought, ah yeah, I've seen a woman doing interviews at a Cs event and of course they're terrible? What if I thought maybe there is more than 1 person doing the interviews and you just wanted to be clear about whom you meant because the other person's interviews are good. What if I asked a leading question cause I'm looking for a fight at 11pm cause my day's just been too good? Maybe I thought whats a more or less polite way to ask someone whether they're aware of using a bit of a loaded phrase? Most important question, would it make any difference to you? | ||

The thoughts that just come "without thinking" are very useful for showing us our internal, personal bias. Your statement reminded me of a thing a do often. When I talk about a person and how exceptionally competent she is, I usually, even if my conversational partner knows its a woman, explicitly state that it is a woman. This doesn't happen much in different contexts. Most of all when it's about competence. Especially with the usual hostility towards women in esports, we should be aware of such underlying biases. And I tried to find out in a non confrontative way, that worked great btw, whether your train of thought before writing that was similar to mine. | ||
