In other news: Apex Legend - Played a bunch of Apex Legend last night and the game seems really cool. Some smart communication tools that let you not only highlight things in the 3D space, but let other players respond to those hightlight. Including claim pick ups and confirm they agree with a plan of action. It makes moving around the space as a squad of 3 really easy, even with randos who don't know how to play. All the weapons are from Titan Fall, which is super cool if you have played the game. They are pick ups like normal battle royal games. This means there are dumb throwing stars and a shotgun pistol. No smart pistol yet, but maybe some day. No wall running, but no fall damage. The abilities are cool, but at all game breaking. There is this real wild teleport ability that opens up a tunnel for team mates to follow you through. It could lead to amazing plays or truly hysterical fails. One neat part is you can move around like "downed" and use a shield to protect yourself. But if you are downed and your teammate is taking on you killer, you can shield them from damage. And even if you get finished off, your team can pick up your "banner" and respawn you. It is really weird and awesome. | ||
