New rig is relative. Kept the ram and ryzen and changed the rest.
Itx motherboard and case as well as full custom watercooling for a 2080 as well as the Cpu. Though in sum only 360 mm radiator capacity.
I also think I mounted one fan the wrong way so it blows into the case instead of out of it. And chances of reversing that are slim due to the minimal movement space...
Water temperature ends up at roundabout 40 degrees Celsius with cpu and gpu 10 degrees higher.
Fans are noticeable at 1200rpm, a bit louder than expected but homogenous enough to not bother too much.
Fixing the fan and inserting another blow out fan should drop the temperature a tad too below 40 which would be nice.

I've had 2 monitors for a while but I don't use my desktop very much and I'm thinking about going back to 1 screen just because it'll let me save some space lol

Wall mount them? Space saved and optional picture frames / ambient lighting created.
My glass screen protector saved my phones ass yesterday. Being in Berlin makes me so hectic that I tend to forget to close my jacket's inner pocket and it falls out when leaning forward.

I hope an updated WC will have a really slick hotkey/control group interface that will streamline some of the overhead. That is one of the things Dota has had over other games is the ability to set all that stuff out of game.

Dunno, are Brits really that much friendlier or is it just because Edinburgh is a lot smaller than Berlin? Is the neighborhood comparable?

Going back in January actually! I've had to take a job that binds me to Berlin.
Neighbourhood matches the one I used to live in in Berlin pretty well status wise I'd say. Loads of cafés, charity shops, french bakeries. People who don't really have to worry that much financially. And there's even a hospital around the corner, lol.
But apart from that it's more tranquil, the Hills (Blackford Hill, the Braid Hills and even the Pentalnd Hills) are so close. I've missed being close to nature sooo much. And I realized that I LOVE HILLWALKING!
People are more approachable and much more friendly in general. Though I can only speak from my experience in Edinburgh. Sometimes it's the way things are set up. For example you can only get out of or into the bus through the same door. So people wait in line (yes!) for the bus, have to let everyone out and then go into the bus in that order they arrived at the station. Except if you have elderly, people with buggies, toddlers, etc. or if anyone says/signs "after you".
Can't imagine that in Berlin at all. It's me first most of times. That became apparent to me when I landed in Berlin the last time and took bus and underground to get home.
I think it's in part some kind of shell people put up to get through the commotion of transport, rush hour. I used to avoid public transport when I was studying cause it was so stressful with all the grumpy people and the waiting and standing around in a bad moody atmosphere of people going to a workplace where they didn't really wanted to be.
As we Germans are difficult to embrace strangers anyway, this is exacerbated by the hectic of a relatively big city. I don't know how people cope in Tokyo or NY or Mexico City. I think big citites just arn't for me. I'm madly in love with edinburgh and the people here, long time residents or expats from different countries.
A big disclaimer though is that it DID NOT RAIN since I've been in the city. To be fair, it did rain thrice when I was out and about on my bike, but that's literally droplets for mid August till End of November. Now it's very drizzly and quite damp. I'd love some crisp and cold and snowy days, fingers crossed.
And the houses are cold and people heat with electricity. Which is alright, if it's renewable and the houses are well insulated. I think they just forgot to maintain them since WWII. Windows are drafty, no insulation at all, but beautiful from the outside.
I love it here. Would change places if I was staying longer, for at least a double glazed and centrally heated house/flat.
